They depend on the distance that you sit away from the screen. For 32'' screens at 59-60cm, the optimal angle actually is 60°, which Dan has set up quite nicely for himself - it will also give you almost a full 180° FOV. That's why 32'' are the "sweet spot" for triple setups: You can place them over your wheel hub, at an acceptable distance and get a full 180° FOV just by obeying "the math" :)
@Paderborner5212 the issue for some with that is the bezel free kit requires 50 degree angle and not everyone can get their screens the correct distance for that angle.
Don’t forget to include the ‘digital’ bezel. That’s where I came unstuck. It’s the black line at the edge of the screen. We were lied to about the thin bezels!

All depends on your budget and what you like + the space you have available for your rig. I'm on triple 32's with a 1000R Curve and that is just fantastic!
@@ethanbarford it still gives you 180° FOV without having to go super super close to the screens while still being very immersive. With the 55" I was using before the immersion was not as nice.
This is not all I need to know, not a single video out there explaining what monitors to buy, considering 99.9% of us start on a single monitor.... Most people have questions like do they have to be the same monitor, do they all have to be the same size, does VA vs IPS matter.... This is literally just information on how to setup. Here I'll go buy two 24" monitors to match up to my 34" Is that cool to do? My center is curved do my other monitors have to be curved? My center is 3440x1440 does ultra wide center matter? Does resolution of the 3 matter?
@@DanSuzuki so if people want to run triple monitors the only route is to buy 3 new monitors all the same size and resolution. That's pretty sad. Yea know for a paid subscription based game it sure likes to reside in the early 2000's for options
Yeah, unfortunately most simracing titles just are not up to modern standards :( you can trick 2 smaller monitors to work with your 34“ - but for that you need to actually render a triple 34“ image which can be very taxing since the sim can’t utilize modern hardware (another problem)
@@DanSuzuki so if I did that, the game would just over shoot the image and cut off the edges instead of scaling? I wouldn't have a huge issue with that. I do have a fully Watercooled 11900k and 3080 ti.

It is working for me but I am finding that having the other two doesn't actually help me much and I am considering going back to just 1 monitor. There is some information out there about setting up 2 different size monitors I just can't remember. It was on TH-cam though. Hope this helps a bit.
It would be good an comparison between sorround and not soround. Because without sourround you have more fps
Not everyone have an 4090 😅
Is 27 inch triples too small? Many people recommend 32s
no I would say 27 inch triples are the sweet spot. 32 is really large
Looks like your running at 60hz; I don't know your monitors but I feel like you need to set your refresh rate higher.
No, in windowed borderless mode it ignores the ingame setting and uses the setting from windows - 165hz in my case 😊
Can someone tell me what graphiccard/cpu i Need to run tripples on iracing i have a pc with an 2060 and an 5600
No mention of resolution lol
And yes but very low graphics and other games won't run well
Why is your middle monitor shown as 3 & 4?
Cloned to the capture card 😅
i use a 32 triple and i am 55 cm away ... which fov would you choose? the calculator said 196 and the calculator from iracing said 165
Can i have central monitor as 1440p and side monitors as 1080p?
It’s depends on your graphic card
@@chemitaxis mine is 3060TI
@@evandrosantos8017 no you can’t do it with nvidia cards :(
@@chemitaxis Got it, thank you!
@@chemitaxis other question, do you know if 3060TI can handle triples 27" 1440p on iRacing?
what is the best triple screen size? some people say 27 and some say 32. im stuck lol
All depends on your budget and what you like + the space you have available for your rig. I'm on triple 32's with a 1000R Curve and that is just fantastic!
I prefer 32"
@@DanSuzuki thank you! Can i ask why please?
@@ethanbarford it still gives you 180° FOV without having to go super super close to the screens while still being very immersive. With the 55" I was using before the immersion was not as nice.
@@DanSuzuki ah okay thank you. So 32s are also better than 27s because 32s dont have to be directly behind the wheel?
Nice video! Does anything works for ACE COMBAT 7?
Gone to VR never gone back
Facts lol
stil does not work for me
Verstehe ich nicht ganz. Der FOV Calculater sagt 55 grad, der Triangle Calculater sagt 70 Grad. Und Du stellst 60 Grad in IRacing ein. Was jetzt? 😂
Einfach einstellen was dir am besten passt 😅
Kannst Du das mal auf Deutsch machen?😊😊
This is not all I need to know, not a single video out there explaining what monitors to buy, considering 99.9% of us start on a single monitor.... Most people have questions like do they have to be the same monitor, do they all have to be the same size, does VA vs IPS matter.... This is literally just information on how to setup.
Here I'll go buy two 24" monitors to match up to my 34"
Is that cool to do?
My center is curved do my other monitors have to be curved?
My center is 3440x1440 does ultra wide center matter?
Does resolution of the 3 matter?
They need to be the same size and resolution, otherwise you need to do some trickery that I wouldn’t recommend
@@DanSuzuki so if people want to run triple monitors the only route is to buy 3 new monitors all the same size and resolution. That's pretty sad.
Guess I won't be doing triples as I have a 500$ 34" 3440x1440.
Pretty dumb to spend 1500$ on monitors LMFAO, I was hoping to buy two smaller monitors.
That's dumb.
@@DanSuzuki really appreciate the help.
Worst part is... I have a gigabyte curved 34" ultra wide I use for iracing and a gigabyte curved 32" I use for gaming. I could buy another 32" to match. But that seems so ridiculously overkill lol, and taxing like you said.
I have a 24" MSI optix I could get another one of those but is that too small?
this dosent work.
It does, try again and follow the instructions closely 😄
Wenn du das mal auf deutsch mach könntest, mein Englisch ist nicht so gut ….
Genau sowas sucht man und findet nichts …. Außer auf englisch 🙈🙈🙈
Trotzdem sympathischer Typ 👍🏽
That's way too complicated! Ideally, the game should be smart enough to detect the resolution for each monitor and configure itself appropriately.
If you think this was a lot do not buy triples. It’s far worse than you think.
i cannot get this to work. I have tried the irsidekicks as well as the editing the ini files. nothing is working. why?
