Im having this problem after slamming my door. sometimes it starts whenever it wants. How do i knows it's an anti theft situation, the light doesn't stay on
When anti theft turns on it won’t allow you to fully turn the ignition switch, you can Press and hold the unlock button while turning the ignition switch at the same time.
I have the 14 limited and it's the older body style. They were a base model, end of year or something similar. The fob and key are different for mine as well. I love mine. :)
@@mildlydisinterested 2014 was a transition year for the Impala, there were actually two models built that year, the older body style and then newer current body style came out late that year.
@@EngMpro keep both pressed at the same time. Turn the ignition switch on while pressing the unlock button for about 10 seconds then it should come off the dashboard.

Once you get a new key made you should be able to access your car with no problem of the alarm going off on you bro.
My 2015 impala antitheft lock came on but I have nowhere to insert my key because I have a push start

May of 2024..... Just tried this, holding the unlock button, before putting the key in and it worked... Appreciate u bro....

You’ll have to get a replacement, see if you can find someone that makes replicas on Offerup because it’s cheaper than the dealership.

Just take key out hit panic button hit unlock and put key back in car will start

To turn OFF Anti theft simply:
1. INSERT KEY
2. PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON FROM THE DOOR AT THE SAME TIME YOU TURN ON THE CAR AND HOLD.
On the door or on the key fob cause mines isn’t unlocking my door or anything
