Check the power cable that connects the fusebox to the battery. Mine was loose from the fusebox end, and the fusebox itself was not well assembled with the modules on the bottom. The connection was loose.
Mine says theft deterrent system I left the key just in on position. I left it there for about 10 min took key out then waited a min then it wanted to crank or like it was gonna start then after awhile did not wanna crank I do not know what else to do then it said engin power loss but my fuses are good
Okay so what everyone is doing wrong is when your installing the front battery the rear AUX battery that works for the auto stop needs to be disconnected before installing the front main battery another tip replace both batteries at the same time start over new front and back When the AUX battery is disconnected make sure the two wires arent touching anything when installing the front battery first
Pretty much just take out the Aux battery in the rear first ,then go to the front take out the old battery and install new one then after the front is installed go to the back and put in the new Aux battery in NOTE :when taking out the aux battery cover up the two wires so they don't touch anything while your installing the front battery.
I had the exact same problem and just checked all the fuses and one of them was was blown not sure which one exactly but after putting a new one it turned on like new
So my 2015 Malibu won't start we recently just changed the battery and bought a new starter.... after replacing the starter it still won't start but gives off a clicking sound...
Chevrolet has a problem with the keys on those cars you can go to your local Ace hardware store and have a new key made for about 30 bucks that should take care of the problem with I'm actually a locksmith I deal with these cars all the time
I have a 2016 Malibu and it’s doing the some thing ... If your look at the screen it has lock on the top left side People have told me that it’s the remote control that’s locking the vehicle. People has said that they need to program your remote I wait about 5 min or so and my car starts
2015 malibu lt 2.5 - I just replaced engine myself and having this problem. I cant get it to start, no click, nothing, new batteries, new starter, new engine, all wires hooked up. Hoping theres a way to reset computer or something without taking to a shop.
I ended up taking it to a shop and after a month of them looking and resetting computer they told me they couldn't figure it out. Said screw it and finally took it to a dealer. Next day they called me and told me my alternator and starter wires were switched. Started up no problem. I really h[pe that's what happened for you, it drove me insane but glad it was something small.
I remember wiring it up and seeing they where same plug but I swore they wouldn't reach other way around. Although I was so excited to finally be finishing up.
W Williams towed it to the dealership, said I had like 20 anti theft codes, they reset the computer and it was working like new about 300 to fix (when the battery was replaced it was hooked up incorrectly they told me)
This shit is making me want to trade on my Chevy Malibu
My car just did this it was my battery I had brought a new one and had someone install it. It works perfectly fine
Check the power cable that connects the fusebox to the battery. Mine was loose from the fusebox end, and the fusebox itself was not well assembled with the modules on the bottom. The connection was loose.
What values should i expect to know its loose, this is done with multimeter ? thanks
Mine ended up being the computer. There's two of them so I'm not sure which one they replaced but it fixed my issue.

Anti theft, or relay issue. If it starts when cold then after driving awhile won’t restart I’d suspect bad relay
So what was it after all
