Wow. What a great shop space! I wish my ceiling was as high. I recommend watching all of Paul Akers videos. A ton of great practical lean tips. I have been improving whatever bugs me in the workshop and it made it much more efficient. Simple things like organising tools and decreasing time looking for stuff.

when you mention concrete floor is dusty, my mind goes into brainstorm mode, and now I"m wondering..."what would a shop floor entirely of honeycombed butcher's mats be like? would the cells of the mat collect dust, and then you...just need to either vacuum them out, or carry them outside to pressure wash, and then sweep, but far far less often? cause carpeting is prone to stain, and rot, and junk, but I could see like...the butcher mats in front of every machine space, at least. it'd be good for standing on, right? the PRIMARY purpose being strain relief anyway...

Why isn't the DMU not on the back wall? And I mean the whole back wall? The first thing people see when the enter the shop or at that size, the parking lot...
5:30 - nice, essential phone :) So I'm not the last person still using one :) Congrats on new shop. Since ceilings are so high why not get some vertical storage? Or just build some upstairs space :)
I friggin love this phone and it makes me sad that the company went under. If they could have kept putting out timely updates I'd probably keep it for like 5 more years
ONLY the horizontal spaces are full of stuff... Amateurs! My home shop is so packed with "Stuff" that it's piled on all the horizontal spaces, stacked on top of other "Stuff", hanging (or leaning) on the walls and even hanging from the ceiling (and/or light fixtures/wiring for the light fixtures)... The only places I don't have packed with "Stuff" is the power tool tables and the path on the floor between power tool stations... And NO! I'm not willing to take a picture of it... I'm not willing to give anyone the opportunity to (falsely) claim I'm a Hoarder (I get accused of too many Mental Problems/Diseases/Conditions as it is...)

Got rid of all the horizontal surfaces in my shop (except for my desk) Best thing I ever did. If I have no place to just set something down then I find myself putting things back where they belong. 👍🏽
