hello officer. I am from Bangladesh. Somedays ago our country situation was so bad. Visa embassy is currently off till 22 August. but my session is staring in 26 August. I am a high school student I got 90 present scholarship in 11 grade. My normal interview date was 28 July it was canceled after that I again got 6th August and 13 August as my interview date. It was cancelled too. Now they scheduled a new date in their own and its next year July. Somedays ago I applied for emergency request but today they denied it. MY USA school headmaster said that I can join the class anytime in September. Now what can I do ? what is the solution of it. How can get my visa as soon as possible the embassy will open?Also during the bad situation in my country I cant move to any other countries.

Hi Mandy, Thank you so much for your videos. I’m a medical student outside the US and I applied for an elective rotation in the US but my Visa got denied earlier this year after requesting an expedited date which got approved so I rescheduled my rotation date and reapplied for Visa after few months. However my interview date is way after the rotation start date. I applied for an expedited visa request with detailed documents to back up my claim but got denied. Can I reapply for the expedited visa to try again maybe I will get lucky?
I have made full payments for the rotation and I really don’t want to loose it.

I was in the US since Aug 2022 but when I was coming back to India after almost a year to see my parents, my passport was lost and then stolen in Chicago. There are barely any videos about getting a new or replaced one. Also, is there any quick process so that I can fly? Check with the Embassy or Consulate where you plan to apply to ensure that your appointment will remain as scheduled. Embassies and Consulates operate on US calendars, so they may sometimes be open during local holidays, and they may sometimes open additional interviews on other days to address lengthening wait times.

You should be able to use your existing DS-160 even if you plan to apply in a different country. Just be sure to use the Applicant ID from the DS-160, and the Embassy/Consulate should be able to pull up your details from the form.

I have applied for a conference visa but am not able to get a date.
One i have paid for the visa fees already but i have never booked an appointment.
I have been checking but till now i haven't seen any that i can pick.
I wanted to expidit but my question do i qualify for expedition having applied for a conference visa.
Another thing if I am and i get denied to expidit can i go back to the normal rescheduling and keep checking till i get the right appointment.
Please advice.

Many Embassies / Consulates will not offer expedited appointments for conferences, but some will. It's best to check the website of the post where you intent to apply to check their policies. Note that you have to schedule/pay for an interview before you can request an earlier date.

You just need your Application ID Number from the DS-160 Form to schedule your appointment.

I already paid for my US visa and have my DS 160, but now that I'm in Canada, my appointment schedule is just too full. It appears that the earliest appointment that is available is in 2026. I'm returning home to the Philippines in 2025, can I utilize my DS160 and visa fee there to continue with my appointment schedule?
While you can likely use your same DS-160, you'll need to pay a new interview fee when you schedule an interview at home. Remember, you may try to request an earlier interview slot before you leave Canada!
have an appointment For F1 visa in this month but forgot to print the conformation page and in GDIT the did not show me anything what should I do ?
You should be able to log back in to the DS-160 and print the confirmation page. Navigate to ceac.state.gov.

Hello Mandy, I received a Notice of Approval for a K1 visa for my fiancee in Colombia with valid dates between 5/17 - 9/16/2023. She contacted the Colombian embassy on August 1, 2023 and was told to complete the DS-160. She got a confirmation page when she finished. Today is August 31st, 2023 and she has had no notice of instructions through email or physical mail from the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. It has been 4 weeks of waiting and we don't know if this is normal waiting. We are getting concerned about the validity dates of the I-797 NOA. If she does not hear anything by September 16, 2023, does that mean that she is disqualified in applying for a visa interview and will not get further instructions? Thank you Mandy.

I had submitted my DS-160 application as an individual going on holidays last year and was given an appointment date for November, 2023. However, my children (girls aged 15 and 13) recently got an invitation for a World Youth conference in my church for summer 2024 in the US.
Can I change my same individual application to a family application on this same DS-160 and pay for and include my wife and my last kid to make of 5 of us on that file?
BTW, we had always travelled international trips together.. We even gave birth to our last kid in the UK in 2014.

I used to go to the consulate on interview days as a section incharge Greeter services. Here in Pakistan we are not allowed to get interview dates from Third country. You can apply in a third country if you have good reason for it. This is true for all visa applicants, including in Pakistan.
