Winter fishing the Buffalo River for Smallmouth in Middle Tennessee

I decided to hit the Buffalo River in my kayak (and later in my brother's jet boat) in early winter to try to catch some smallies. Winter fishing can be a challenge, but I was able to hook up a number of times with smallmouth and spotted bass.
The Buffalo River is stunnning. I fished primarily with a ned rigged yamatanuki and a ned rigged Nikko Hellgrammite, and they were the two lures landing fish, with the Nikkio Hellgrammite really taking the prize for best lure on this day,
