If you don't mind what hard tail kit did you use? I have a 05 883 and was told I couldn't put one on but I see you can.

Hey Derek. The problem is that starting in 05, the Sportster engine became rubber mounted. These rear rubber engine mounts cause a whole host of headaches when trying to go rigid. It can be done. It is just much easier on a 04 with it’s simple 4 bolt rear engine mount.

Rubber mounts start in 04 :)
