Stopped watching Star Wars stuff after season 2 of The Mandalorian. I can deal with bad acting if the story telling is good, but it's all gone now in favor of pushing an agenda. The comparison is unnecessary, as it's evident the current actors haven't trained as extensively as those in the prequels, where half the movie focused on acting and the other half on combat choreography. Dumbest scene ever: Once Indara dispelled Kelnacca, all the witches die. Who writes this shit? A.I. can write better. Sol didn’t even intentionally kill Aniseya. She was doing some Raiders of the Lost Ark shit with demons coming out of her and he only whipped it out to protect himself and it looked like Mae (who Sol mistook for Osha) was ready to disappear into ash like Spider-Man in Infinity War. Then you can see Sol’s stunned face when Aniseya went back to human form and she’s dead. Then Sol doesn’t even attack Koril. It was an accidental kill and Indara had to lie about it to protect Sol. None of this was cold-blooded murder. Why did Torbin feel so guilty about it? The one who should feel the most guilty is Sol. And that’s the only one Mae should’ve targeted to avenge her mother’s death. I think the writers didn’t want to include another fight scene with Torbin fighting Mae. Their $180M budget wasn’t enough for it. So when he drinks the poison, it adds more mystery to what happened in Brendok only to discover he did nothing wrong. And if Torbin speaks more, he can spoil the story. Ep. 4 has a deleted scene of Kelnacca fighting. Why not include it? The episodes are already shorter than they should be. Let’s go back to Ahsoka from last year. So a Jedi Master in Indara can get killed by a small fruit knife but Sabine is totally fine after a lightsaber cuts through her abdomen? Sol is too weak to Force hold the twins that he had to choose only one but Sabine can Force push a grown ass man up to a ship when she couldn’t even push a cup a couple of episodes earlier? Even if you combined Ep. 4 & 5 together, it still didn’t offer any new info or be as long as some of the House of the Dragon episodes. F**k this show! The only good part from this show is Manny Jacinto and the cool kills The Stranger committed. Smilo Ren can Force push 8 Jedis and Force pull a redshirt Jedi into his Sith kebab but Sol can’t do this with one of the little girls. I just watched A quiet place Day 1. That movie in TEN MINUTES has you caring more about the character than 7 full episodes of acolyte. It's all about the writing and EMOTION from the performers.

I was ok with star wars until now. For entertainment, for cool lightsaber stuff.. sure. I watched all of Asoka.. I only made it through ep 3 of Acolyte, then I started watching reviewers instead of giving Disney a view count. I'm glad I stopped. I watched Shadiversity's lightsaber combat autopsy from Acolyte.. wow. That was so bad. I'm glad I didn't watch it. I can't believe she tried to say it was better than the prequil lightsaber combat. Also it is NOT a show for children.. they can do what they want but that's not the audience. I have finally lost hope.. disney+ cancelled.

Stopped watching Star Wars stuff after season 2 of The Mandalorian. I can deal with bad acting if the story telling is good, but it's all gone now in favor of pushing an agenda.

I believe there's a misunderstanding. We don't need a lightsaber duel better than Obi-Wan vs. Anakin; we just need a good duel. The comparison is unnecessary, as it's evident the current actors haven't trained as extensively as those in the prequels, where half the movie focused on acting and the other half on combat choreography.
The key difference is the stakes involved. In the original Star Wars, most lightsaber fights had significant stakes and surprising outcomes: Qui-Gon's death, Obi-Wan disappearing when faced with Vader, Dooku vs. Yoda, Yoda vs. Palpatine, Palpatine vs. the council, and Anakin vs. Obi-Wan. These duels were unpredictable and impactful, not just for shock value.
Moreover, the characters in those stories were likable, making their fates meaningful. In contrast, the characters in the new series lack that connection. Killing many of them doesn’t have the same impact as the death of even one character like Boromir from "The Lord of the Rings." His character arc, from attempting to take the ring to sacrificing himself and achieving redemption, all within a short span, demonstrates effective storytelling and relatability.
In the recent Star Wars series, most characters seem unlikable, and the few exceptions are sidelined. This includes Ahsoka, Sabine, the Jedi master of the twin girls, and the twins themselves. The potential for complexity in the Sith character is undermined by superficial relationships, such as the twin who quickly attaches to him despite her friends' recent murders.
This isn't introducing a new "gray" evil; it's a trope that women are inexplicably drawn to it. There's a reason why notorious criminals receive letters from women in prison. This portrayal of a "misunderstood Sith" is unappealing and, frankly, disturbing.

Sol didn’t even intentionally kill Aniseya. She was doing some Raiders of the Lost Ark shit with demons coming out of her and he only whipped it out to protect himself and it looked like Mae (who Sol mistook for Osha) was ready to disappear into ash like Spider-Man in Infinity War. Then you can see Sol’s stunned face when Aniseya went back to human form and she’s dead. Then Sol doesn’t even attack Koril. It was an accidental kill and Indara had to lie about it to protect Sol. None of this was cold-blooded murder.
Why did Torbin feel so guilty about it? The one who should feel the most guilty is Sol. And that’s the only one Mae should’ve targeted to avenge her mother’s death. I think the writers didn’t want to include another fight scene with Torbin fighting Mae. Their $180M budget wasn’t enough for it. So when he drinks the poison, it adds more mystery to what happened in Brendok only to discover he did nothing wrong. And if Torbin speaks more, he can spoil the story. Ep. 4 has a deleted scene of Kelnacca fighting. Why not include it? The episodes are already shorter than they should be.
Let’s go back to Ahsoka from last year. So a Jedi Master in Indara can get killed by a small fruit knife but Sabine is totally fine after a lightsaber cuts through her abdomen? Sol is too weak to Force hold the twins that he had to choose only one but Sabine can Force push a grown ass man up to a ship when she couldn’t even push a cup a couple of episodes earlier? Even if you combined Ep. 4 & 5 together, it still didn’t offer any new info or be as long as some of the House of the Dragon episodes.
F**k this show! The only good part from this show is Manny Jacinto and the cool kills The Stranger committed. Smilo Ren can Force push 8 Jedis and Force pull a redshirt Jedi into his Sith kebab but Sol can’t do this with one of the little girls. I will stick to House of the Dragon and wait patiently for Andor S2 next year. I would rather watch Daemon Targaryen become Bob Vila / Tim “The Toolman” Taylor and help renovate Harrenhal in his The Money Pit (1986) subplot than watch more of this Lesbian Headland shit.

I just watched A quiet place Day 1. That movie in TEN MINUTES has you caring more about the character than 7 full episodes of acolyte. It's all about the writing and EMOTION from the performers.

I was ok with star wars until now. For entertainment, for cool lightsaber stuff.. sure. I watched all of Asoka.. I only made it through ep 3 of Acolyte, then I started watching reviewers instead of giving Disney a view count. I'm glad I stopped. I watched Shadiversity's lightsaber combat autopsy from Acolyte.. wow. That was so bad. I'm glad I didn't watch it. I can't believe she tried to say it was better than the prequil lightsaber combat. Also it is NOT a show for children.. they can do what they want but that's not the audience. I have finally lost hope.. disney+ cancelled.
They just want to make sure Disney makes a season 2 so that they don't have to get real jobs next year.
