- On episode one of DEFINE. Behind the Missions, we take a closer look into Kyo and Dylan's introduction to Primitive and what went into the short timelines they had to film for the video. Carlos tells us about how he didn't see Dylan miss one flatground trick in 3 days and Paul explains how Kyo reminds him of his favorite era in skating.

I saw Kyonosuke growing up through Luis Mora’s Videos , it’s really satisfying to see him skating better everytime a video comes out

true. hes the 2023 version of mike mo. forecast part was insane for its time. and he was like 15
humble, cool, and talented young skaters. they have such big influence in the industry already and they fit in so well in primitive

Wait, Dylan is an AM? You better turn him pro soon. This kid is better than pretty much all the, “pros”, in my view. He reminds me of Penny, when Penny just popped on the scene.
Agree... I think it's just an age thing that P-Rod decided to make him AM instead of Pro. That would be my guess. But Dylan's for sure gonna go pro. There are other brands that would make him pro already and if Primitive doesn't do it soon enough, another brand will.
I love this in depth stories about skaters, the boss, and the team. It makes me want to watch Define again.

Lots of Japanese people immigrated to Brazil in the 1900s. He probably grew up there in a Japanese community

As a mediocre skater and mediocre business owner, I appreciate big time what Paul has managed to create with Primitive…these videos capture moments so perfectly, how the editing showed the vibe after that first trick at the beginning. My Primitive hoodie is by far my favourite piece of clothing! And I bought a gold deck couple years ago for the express purpose of learning 360 flips on it so I could put it up on the wall after with a story to tell. Thanks for being real ones Paul and the whole crew!
Got to meet Dylan while he was out here in Colorado this winter-super nice guy, super humble and down to Earth. Keep crushing it dawg!

Social media is turbo charging progression, as well as talent being identified and plucked from obscurity, kids everywhere are seeing what’s possible as it happens and going for it, a lot of them these days are better than a lot of pros were 15-20 yrs ago, the future is bright indeed.
