One thing I want to suggest, the Japanese language is so beautiful and intelligent sounding, it may be good to let these fellow talk in their native tongue and then translate it because he was kinda struggling with English, which is totally understandable. It was fine the way it was, but I think he may have been a little more descriptive in Japanese. My wife is Indonesian and she goes through this with English. I see that sometimes it’s better for her to just use the Indonesian word and then we can translate.
