Apologies for a very late reply. My Jimny is only 3 weeks old. In warmer climates (South Africa), a 5W30 is recommended as opposed to a 0W16 for the colder climates (UK), just as a FYI.

I've got one coming soon, 16 😵, I thought the Subaru was an odd-ball with 20. This is good to know, how many filling stations stock 16 on the shelf😬? I can see me doing some 'panic buying / hoarding' when I find some😁👍

~I have mine for 4 months now ...only done 1000 miles
The big question....do I need an oil change (engine and Dif ) at 1000 miles or I just wait for the annual service ??

I would never out a 0w-16 oil in any vehicle in this heat. What I would like to know is if these new jimny have grease nipples

What is the recommended oil for differential in new Jimny? GL-4 or GL-5? The owner's manual mentions only "SUZUKI SUPER GEAR OIL 75W-85 SYNTHETIC".
Old Jimny manual highly recommended API GL-5 hypoid gear oil SAE 80W-90 for differential.
