Wassup faded - simple and easy to understand, however the viewer won’t get very far trying to achieve the sound like in this video, without the exact same instruments/drumkit you’re using.
I’m not tryna bash, but I have honestly never heard anything sound like this with so little to no effort. If what you’re showing in the video really is all that needs to be done, then at least tell the viewer where they can download/buy the same kit you’re using.

I’m confused, it looks like your 808 is hitting through the roof on the db meter, I always thought a loose guideline to follow was to have your 808s hittin arlund -10 db? Please help.
Yeah so personally i dont really mxi stuff from db's i mostly just use my ear, so what i like to do is push the 808 as much as i can so it clips through the soft clipper but not too much that it just sounds horrible
@@prod.fadedwave OK cool thank you and so on your Master track do you use a DB meter so that when you’re mastering your hitting at a certain target under zero db? And should I worry about gain staging or no?
@@MendingSilence Personally i just have a soft clipper on the default setting and I dont really do much gain staging, ofc thats just personal though
I've been doing music for about a decade and I personally still follow the traditional way of using a kick with an 808 for punch. The biggest problem with clipping 808s is there will be 0 head room to add any extra gain to make the master loud. It ends up being stupid distorted. I've had artist disappointed when their song is quiet when mixing and mastering their song. The 808 was so loud in the mix I had no head room to master it. You can't add volume when there's no space for it. The 808 is going to be "loud" sounding but the beat will be quiet. The 808 takes up too much space. At the end of the do, do what sounds best to you.
@@prodbyryan808 Yeah its defo all down to personal preference, recently my 808s have been turned down much more than in this tutorial, but ive had plenty sounds with loud 808s hit nice with artists on

nope just softclipper for trap beatsm if you engenerring the beat then yeah you will do all that with the stems, but sending out you dont need all that :)
idk man everytime i let my shit clip the mix just doesn't sound right and it's distorted when you play it on big speakers
Are you cutting out the lows from the melody but still leveling evrerything correctly?

What's the proper sound dB level for kick, hat, snare, lead, melody piano chord and fx?
realistically there isnt no set level you need sounds hitting at, however id say most sounds do have a typical level. id say kicks and 808s the loudest, claps and hats lower than them then effects a little lower. Its all up to taaste at the end of the day though
I still stuck at the leveling process , some use the volume knob with the Channel rack but it don't sound powerfull and clear like your Beats . Do you sell any FLP for education purpose ? Thanks

Where is the mastering part?
For me in simple beats like this mixing and mastering is the same. I know outside of beat production they are very much different but you really don't need much to make hard hitting beats
