That moment when Kayo comes out to see the breakfast on the table and starts crying uncontrollably is one of the saddest things I've seen in anime. Right up there with Clannad and Angel Beats.

bro this series always makes me so sad, i love the childhood relationship they share kinda makes me sad that i didn't have a relationship like that and honestly it kinda makes me feel sad that i have no friends from that time, this show really exemplifies the sadness i hold towards my childhood, it feels like i wasted that time.

Erased really made people feel what the character felt. And all the moments were perfectly executed, when he thought he had saved kayo but then she was missing the next day. I felt what he felt

Is literally 1 to 1 Subaru's experience. He can't talk about half the reasoning behind his actions because of return by death, and every restart he's got a ticking clock to make different decisions and stop a tragedy from unfolding. And in addition to that, he has to keep watching his formed relationships reset and fade. This song's lyrics fit Re:Zero so well it's actually pretty cool

MC literally lost most of his life due to saving Kayo and ended up with the saddest ending yet didn't even wait for him to wake up and just went ahead and married someone else. I know that this shows that MC didn't save her just so that they could be together but still way to throw someone under the bus
I know, when I finished it I was so sad that they didn't end up together even though it was clear they liked each other and she wouldn't even be alive without him. And the fact that she married the one that she never actually even talked to on screen too.
@king_julian9807 I think Erased was getting axed at that point, so it was rushed, I think cause it could have built up more plot to the story like why he had that power? Was the first timeline the wrong timeline? Why were the first few uses of his powers in the present, and why wasn't he sent back to the past when it first activated? Also, there is the mystery of his memories. Does he remember the previous timeline completely? One more question is Why him out of all people? He wasn't connected to any of the victims at all, so why was he chosen?
There are a whole lot of questions that I would have liked answered.
I remember listening to Nate's older cover of this in 2016. After hearing it I decided to check out erased. I was new to anime at the time and didn't understand the show I dropped it after one episode. When I saw this in my recommended I was suddenly reminded that the show existed. In a move that was a third nostalgia for when I first got into anime, a third boredom, and a third me remembering that liked the cover Nate did in 2016, I decided to check out the show. I just finished it this morning and I am so happy I did. I really loved watching it.

Yeah. Her being allowed to live her life and grow up is definitely a better alternative than the original timeline, but I’d be lying if I wouldn't have preferred Kayo and Satoru be allowed to get together.

I remember that 4 years ago I had the original op of re:re downloaded on my phone as well as Nate’s iconic short cover of it back then, and I also had the full version with the bomb long intro of AKFG.. it’s so overwhelming and nostalgic that Nate decided to make a full version of it and actually did the intro as well.. this is the best thing to happen in my 2020.
