I just bought the 3P and your videos are invaluable to getting me up and running and confident in how to understand the gear and ways to explore using it to get the sounds I want out of it. No other TH-camr has gone to these lengths. I really appreciate your thoughtful explanations, as someone who isn't that familiar with external gear or drums. I'm learning a lot and your videos are encouraging me to be more expressive and creative! Thanks again!

Thanks Jannis! It’s so helpful to get some guidance for the infinite options digital instruments offer. The manufacturers of the devices did a great job by developing these technical instrumental jewels. It’s a pity though that they do not take the next step which would be supporting the users with organizing practical physical workshops where users come together with experienced users. It’s there where the fun really starts!

Hi Jannis! Thx for the useful videos! Pretty amazing! For a band project I am trying to program classical drum and percussion sounds like tympani or surdos. Do you know any available library or preset for this to help me? Or are such sounds available in YOUR library? :)
Hi Frederic, thanks for your warm words 💚 Honestly I don't know many libraries, especially not about more "real" sounds. Also my pack has a few drum kits that can be considered more real, but also more synth and bass sounds and not really what you're looking for as a classical drum sound library. But let me know if you find something!
what bass pedal is really the best for the Nord Drum? I really like to add a double bass pedal, is that a possibility, and if so, which bran and model works best for the Nord Drum?thanks for getting back!
I don't think a double pedal is available, because it needs to be a specific electronic pedal and you can't just use any pedal. As far as I know the only serious option is the Roland KT something foot pedal.
I see will go back to the store in the weekend and see if I can try it, is it as snappy and good as an acoustic or is it mushy like many electronic base pedals seem to be? @@JannisLeWolff

@@SimplicityForGood It's really solid, and the feel is rather hard than mushy I would say. But yeah, the best idea is to go try it out!
can you import acoustic drum libs in the Nord Drum and so emulate an acoustic drum sound ? Or is the ND really a synth only ?
It's "only" a synth. For triggering samples you need to use midi and connect it with a sampler/DAW.
