Hey do you have bass tabs for this? I'm trying to learn it but I'm bad at learning by ear 😅

My best advice to give is try to mimicking his playing. Slow the video down and play the song slowly and overtime you'll be able to map it all out yourself once you get it down.

@@eggsangwhich2149 hey thanks for the tip but I've already figured it out, ill definitely use it for other bass lines I want to learn though!

@@shrekisl0veshrekislife ayy nicee. Yea that's what I'd use for learning covers. Even watching live videos helps if you can find the right angles. Definitely over time tho learning by ear is the best way

@@eggsangwhich2149 yeah it's so rewarding to finally figure it out without relying on tabs

@@shrekisl0veshrekislife Hey I'm glad you figured it out. I pretty much never use tabs and I am so lazy when it comes to getting around and trying to make them for my covers. I mostly learn all by ear and sometimes watching a live performance can kinda help with some subtle stuff, cuz bass can by tricky to hear the picking patterns for. A really helpful tool I've found only recently is vocalremover.org/splitter-ai, a vocal remover AI website that lets you separate songs into rough stems, and the bass parts in those can be pretty helpful too. Sometimes they don't get a very clear signal depending on the mix of the song but I definitely check them out if I'm having issues with parts.

how did you get that tone?

I know I have a lot of pedals there, but Eddie doesn't seem to use much more than a transparent fuzz/overdrive for this.
So I think my active chain for this is Aguilar TLC Compressor > Earthquaker Westwood > Sansamp Paradriver. I push the mids a bit on the paradriver, it makes the tone cut through really nice, and on the westwood I slightly bump up the high and crank the low to like 9 o'clock. I usually try to add just enough drive on both the paradriver and the westwood to start causing a bit of breakup and the texture together sounds really nice.
