    I've been using the Darkglass X Ultra for about a year now for practice. It works great because it also has an AUX in to be able to plug in your computer or phone to play along.

    The zoom B1 4's output jack converts to a headphone out when you insert a standard headphone jack. It has and aux in so you can play along with tracks you want to learn, and it also has a variable tempo drum machine with generic drum patterns for different music styles. I definitely recommend it for practicing without bugging neighbors or roommates.

    I bought the zoom b1 4 instead of a practice amp. My partner loved it! The guys at the music store did not believe me when I did that you can plug headphones directly into a stomp box.

    Good topic! I use AKGs for my quiet time rehearsals... Not the best out there, but they've lasted for years, and they don't fart out... My Rumble 500 is way to loud for night practice, or any Bass Amp I presume... My wife does bitch about it, she's Country, and I'm Hard Rock and Metal...lol

    I use a Nux mighty plug which works pretty well, more expensive than the Vox but in my opinion much better in every aspects. They released a new version but I'm fine with the one I got. The app is very decent.
    Gotta get a new headphone though ( I hope 80 ohm works well on it, been using a 69 ohm random gaming headphone so far, volume is fine ).
    But I want to experience with compressors and pedals so next step is maybe something like the green Joyo. I really don't buy into mini amps with speakers, 10 watts and such, it's way too weak I think. On the one I tested, I basically could hear my dry strings almost as clearly as the sound out of the speakers, be careful with youtube reviews not using it in real conditions aka what it sounds like in a room.
    But maybe I'll find an affordable second hand, more powerful and premium option to play at home from time to time without a headphone as it's quite pleasing, without going to the studio. But people seem quite divided about small amps, even on the higher watts end of it.

    I got a donner headphones amp it junky but u can practice with it it doesn’t have to be high quality sound but I wouldn’t recommend it spend the extra $25 for something else vox or black star anything but donner I have it and I’m stuck with it forever now.

    I have the Rumble 25, last month I tried the headphone way to practice at home but it sounded awful, I used a Razer Gaming headphones (Razer Kraken), you think I need a better headphones or you think the jack have a malfunction? Playing music from Spotify sounds amazing with those headphones but on the Rumble just dont.

    Need some help here. I’m rather new with electric bass. I already have the Jabra 85h elite , which are very good headphones in general, but when I plug them in my Rumble 40 and an additional audio source, (iphone, ipad) , the sound becomes just weird and not as clear and really different from when it’s just the amp itself.
    Is it that the headphones themselves are not really meant for bass playing? Does it have anything to do with the quality of the wires you are using for both headphones and audio source? Do I have to totally change the settings on my amp and bass (fender active pickup jazz bass) when I’m using headphones?
    Any help would be appreciated thanks 🫡

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I would probably do is have your headphones connected to just the amp, and then connect your music source to the amp as well. I wonder if the issue there is having multiple sources, so try getting all of it into the amp rather than connecting the headphones to multiple sources.

    • @HPKazan
      @HPKazan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ampthebassplayer Thanks for the quick reply.
      The headphones are plugged in the amp, and the audio source also is plugged in the aux jack of the amp.

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that’s the case, I’m not sure. Are you able to try other headphones?

    • @HPKazan
      @HPKazan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ampthebassplayer They’re pretty much the only ones I have other than wireless earbuds, which are unpluggable. I mean I’d buy the Audiotechica ones but I don’t even know if that’s the problem. As far as I know the Jabra ones are not a gimmicky bassy model like the Beats. They’re like 400 CAN $ headphones.
      One thing though, the cable I use for the audio source is total crap. I wonder if that contributes to the weird change in sonority when I plug the audio in… it goes into lower volume and just sounds off.
      The cable for the headphones is a new digiflex one. Seems decent enough.

    I have a tip for getting rid of the mole on your forehead. I had a mole right under my cheek and removed it using the advice I got from an Indian lady. She recommended horse hair, but I didn't have access to any, so I went to a hobby/crafts store and bought some 'invisible' string, which is like very fine nylon fishing string. Make a square knot and put it on the mole as close to the base as you can and make another square not, but not too tight. Replace it 1-2 times a week and it will shrivel, dry up and fall off in about a month depending on the size of the mole.
    I was very skeptical at first, but I am so glad to be rid of it. I only wish that I knew about this earlier in life, because the older I got, the bigger the mole became. There will be a circular scar but it's barely noticeable and much better looking than the mole. Good luck.

    I have a bass guitar and a Bluetooth phone with songs on it. No holes on my phone to connect a wire to play along to songs with headphones. I want to use a headphone to play my bass and hear my music through the same headphone at the same time. Can the vox plug 2 do all that? Does the vox have Bluetooth capabilities?
