Great show ! I love Paul's collaborations, like you. Paul with George Martin on The Family Way is quite an early collab, 1967 I believe with Haley Mills Movie. The sound track is a start for Paul and George collab. Thanks for doing a good show.
Goodbye, nice choice...I think maybe on the McCartney album, if not for Mary Hopkins. In addition, one of my favorite tracks on OTG is the Lovers that Never Were! Kinda of the reason I just purchased the Flowers in the Dirt, 2 cd archive set. Great show 2 Legs!
This was really interesting--and looking forward to a video showcasing Paul's forays into different genres. And really looking forward to The Legacy II show next week!!!!!
Great video with some really good picks that were not all the ‘obvious’ choices! I’ll need to listen to Paul and George Michael on Heal the Pain as it’s such a beautiful song. Thanks guys! All the best!
Not really a collaboration or maybe more helping out was between Paul McCartney and Steve Miller on "My Dark Hour" & "Celebration Song" on the SMB'S Brave New World album & "Your Saving Grace" on Fourth Album respectively. Paul is credited as Paul Ramon playing bass and singing backing vocals.
Great show guys. You went real deep on this one. I'm not sure I would have thought far enough 'inside' the box to have considered collaborations with Denny Laine. Some real good ones included here , some of which I havent heard. For me his greatest collaborator during the solo years was Elvis Costello. Love their acoustic demo of My Brave Face where you really get to hear their harmonies close up and with great clarity. I think it's included in the Flowers Archive. We All Stand Together is my real head-scratcher here but really enjoy the show. Thanks boys
To take it a step further, you could do a show on post Beatles collaborators….could be everyone from George Martin, Denny Laine, Eric Stewart, Elvis Costello, etc.
Can’t believe Andy haven’t heard Bird cage and Tom not that familiar with the Apple single released together with Hey Jude, TWTD and Jackie’ Eagle! What about Mine For Me? I also love: …in this town So like Candy Wings Nightinggale Simple as that (with the Heroin Project) VO!CE (Love it!!!) Little Children Best Love (it IS a collaboration!) Say say say Ebony You love her too ….and many more!👌
Tom forgot to mention that "Cut me Some Slack" won a Grammy award. I'm confused how you guys define collaborations. The Ringo song shouldn't count because Paul wrote it himself and they don't share lead vocals. Same Thing with the Badfinger song because Paul didn't produce it with the band. Paul and Ringo did share lead vocals on the 2010 song "Walk With you". 10. The Man my fav collab with Michael Jackson 9. No words from Band on the Run 8. So like Candy with Costello 7. Ballad of the Skeletons with Allan Ginsberg 6. Highway by The Fireman produced with Youth 5. Walk With You with Ringo 4. We All Stand Together 3. The White Coated Man by Linda 2. Broomstick with Paul and Steve Miller 1. The Man who Found God on the moon (and Simply Love you) by McGear with Mike McCartney
Tony - collaborations can be songs that go beyond the traditional duet. The Ringo song actually DOES count because Paul and Linda perform on the song, and Paul wrote it it is indeed a "Collaboration" as we have defined it. If you don't agree - all well and good. This is our definition as we see it.
My Dark Hour with steve Miller,Footprints Stewart, Paul , So like Candy solo Paul edition, My Old Friend ,Perkins & Paul, Great show Keep it going

Thank you Lynn! Should be an epic one! Probably 2 hours with Kozinn and Sinclair!
If we're including Goodbye, I'd have the studio demo of Step Inside Love - Cilla Black with Paul on guitar, and George Martin in the control room.
Yes, Goodbye!

Good one!
Wings of a nightingale count ?
For me, no. If he writes a song for somebody and he doesn't produce it or play on it, then in my mind, it's not a true collaboration.
