    Thank you WoodCraft so much for explaining how put the switch back on (included instructions) with allen bolts and then drill out the hex with a drill bit to effectivly make them "rivets" again. I used this method installing my alarm and drilling the battery bolts so nobody could cut power to the gps/alarm.

    maybe a 1/8" pilot bit could have sped up the process of drilling out those tamper proof bolts...but i might have went straight to the 5/16" bit myself also.
    Great vids, thanks a lot!

    You would also need to flash the ECU to remove the immobilizer

      immobilizer is wired with ignition, when he added the bypass it will complete immobilizer circuit when he turns the switch on

  • @briangiven7399
    @briangiven7399 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is there a way to retain immobilizer function? For street use, it would make theft less likely than just starting the engine in full lock. Thanks for any replies!

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  ปีที่แล้ว

      Copy and paste from the Woodcraft site: **Works on EU models but you need to take the immobilizer ring off of your key-switch and fix a spare key in the center of the ring. The ring and key must remain on motorcycle to communicate with the ECU.**
      *FOR RACING USE ONLY** FOR EURO MODELS ONLY w/IMMOBILIZERS** Exclusively available from Woodcraft. Our Key Switch eliminator lets you remove your stock ignition switch saving weight where it counts - up high! Removing your stock ignition will also free up valuable space for steering dampers and lap timers. The things you need go in the space you save. There is no longer a need for keys. Hey Brian, hope you are doing great. Quick question, I see the 2006 GSXR750 has a different kill switch. It has ON/OFF position only not 3 switch positions like the R1 does. Will it still work? Or do I need an extra accesory?

    Well that's cool but you can't park your bike somewhere in the street as it could be stolen right? ;)
    What do you think about Kawasaki's GTR1400 keyless system? no need for a key and the bike recognizes you as soon as you get near it as you have a key fob in your pocket. What do you think of that?
    Thanks for sharing

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ehsan83 Have not seen the Kawasaki deal, pretty sure that is the same as the key fob for my car. As far as stealing the bike it takes too long to put it on, would be easier to load the bike on a trailer. This is a mod for the race track only. - Van

    • @sportbiketrackgear

      This has been on my bike since we shot this video and the battery is fine when it sits for a few days or weeks. Best practice is to put the bike on a storage device when not riding it. I have the Ballistic lithium Battery with their "Power System" maintenance device installed on it and plug the bike in whenever it is sitting in the shop. Woodcraft does not list fitment for this bike at this time. I suppose it is possible one of them with Ducati fitment might work, you would need to call them to make sure. The Monster is not a bike they would focus on for this product as it is a race track specific product for sure. Give my man Waylon a call at Woodcraft and ask. - Van
