meh... dunno what's going on with your channel at the moment. Not the fact that you're not uploading daily anymore - obviously that's difficult to keep up and life gets in the way. But a smidge of transparency would be appreciated.
you gotta stop the insufferable preaching and putting yourself on a mindset pedestal when your own attitude means you can’t be transparent with the audience about all the things that have gone wrong here. instead it’s plugging a newsletter and more selling. don’t sign up people
I started clicking the arrow forward to stop hearing it then started skipping episodes. It was disappointing because the London build is what brought me to the tiny house build. He did an excellent job of narrating on the time lapse video for the London build. I think being alone for a long time can make the internal dialogue become too internal without interaction from other ways of thought from others.
Chris… hope you are alright. Loved the London project, loved this project. However you have disappeared? What on earth is going on? Project timescale? Lack of transparency? No videos? The TH-cam statement on Substack?
Keep up the good work, buddy. Ignore the negative comments. You dont owe anyone anything upload in your own time. At the end of the day, this young man is having a crack at building his own home if any one can do better, start uploading your own videos and tag us all in them.
The amount of free knowledge he gets from some of the comments is insane. I followed modustrial make renovate an entire warehouse into a high end home and he got so many tips from his comments and had the humility and back and forth with his subscribers to take them on board and actually implement them.
Lot of hate in these comments lately. Big change in the overall vibe up to a few months ago. Can we just take these videos for what they are? A guy daring to build his own house and sharing it with us? I don't think he ever claims to be an expert, pro or perfecting any of these techniques. Perhaps, at worst, the title of this video was a bit poorly chosen in that regards. If he wants to do something a certain way that will end up costing him, so be it. No crimes were committed. It's his own money and his own house.
Have you actually followed this build from the start? It's one thing for him to make several mistakes whilst daring to build a tiny house but it's a completely different thing for him to deceive his entire audience and then act like nothing ever happened. No transparency, no explanation, no continuity, nothing. He just shows you a tiny amount of work and then asks you to sign up for a newsletter which offers you nothing (literally).
@@Edgar.Brito0123 I have been following his videos since 2022. Agree, I'm also not a big fan of the newsletter plugs, but who am I to complain about what someone who offers free content on youtube decides to put in his videos? I might give pollite feedback in a comment, but if nothing changes and I don't like it, I stop watching it. I don't start personally atttacking the person.
Content on TH-cam isn't actually free because ad revenue exists. The issue is simply that there's a lack of integrity and transparency from him and at times it looks like he's just straight up lying. He has some knowledge but there are plenty of instances where he's given out bad/wrong advice. Also, if this is about him building the tiny house, then great but don't spend 90% of most videos trying to shit on regular people working regular jobs in order to sell something. It just makes him some insufferable and it's honestly tiring listening to someone spew the same thing over and over with no new added value. One more thing, that news letter isn't worth 50p a month, so if he's gonna sell something at least let it be something of use.
Since when is he shitting on people with regular jobs, another overly sensitive person making it about them. Videos are enjoyable, he never claimed to be an expert, same as financial TH-camrs are not financial advisors if you copy them it may be wrong that’s for the audience to decide we’re not dumb sheep. He could explain himself but doesn’t owe it to you, you need to chill out, are you one of the disgruntled finance bros🤣 you seem to be seriously bitter
I really like your videos… don’t let the negative comments bring you down… keep up the good work and come back as soon as you can love from Chicago, Illinois, USA
I hope some insulation is going in there otherwise it will be so cold. I think hes a clever man - good mindset and will be saving money living there the council tax must be A or B and bills should be minimal.
You don't get it, probably because you don't have the balls to do something like this yourself. Doing DIY can become a passion project. Some people would rather do the job themselves, no matter how long it takes, then to give up and hire other people to complete their passion project.
@MrFatboyRuns yes I agree but their comes a point where that is just not worth the stress just working along with a team group dynamic can really push project along ,its always a hard slog alone not always sensible
Yes so much hate. Construction projects are notoriously known for running overtime and over budget and that is considering they are being built by specialists in their area of Construction and architects. After working in architectural practices I can say no build is quite like the last and there is always a learning curve too that alongside unpredicatable changes, availability of labour, changes in weather make all projects different to the last. It is difficult when personal circumstances mean that you need to complete it to live in it within a certain time frame. Love that you have perservered Chris! Keep on going!
I'm glad to see you back here after a well-deserved skiing break - from the footage you showed, it looked like a brilliant holiday on the slopes and no doubt so refreshing too. Your tiny home is going to look lovely esp. with those skylights. Well worth it!
@Havesomevision, please be careful and don't show your keys on the internet, in one of your videos ( the 1 year renovation one ) there is a bit where people can see your house keys. If the camera is of good quality anyone on the internet can copy those keys. Please be careful.
Yo, I’ve seen every video you’ve put out since the London project. I know this is weird but hope all is well. Believe in you bro. You make great content. And in a world of clickbate I have hope that great content will win.

@@Dan-md3ql Because I've been watching from the start (used to be a fan) and some of the lies are as clear as day - not least the nonsense about his education, impossible timeline and grades that change every time he tells the story. Tiny house wouldn't stand a chance of meeting building regs. Clearly no planning permission as changes every aspect on the fly. Could obviously apply for retrospective planning, but considering his approach to building regs, seems doubtful any of it's entered his head. Disappointed as the channel had plenty of potential, but the fact it's built on lies is sending viewers down a potentially expensive dead end - irrespective of whether they waste money on his newsletter or not. Follow in his footsteps and there's every chance you'll be fighting a losing battle with local planning office, and that irritates me. It's irresponsible, it's dishonest, and it's a shame for people who believe in him.
