I checked some construction pics of this lift, and judging from the pics, the bottom has drive and tensioning. Sure, the return setup is designed to move, but it doesn’t have the big hydraulic cylinders. It most likely has a manual hydraulic press, which is used as the rope gets longer over time.
When it was first installed, it was like TeePee Town LX at Sunshine Village. Really weird place for a bubble chair because you can't access it out of base and is mostly for advanced skiers(unless you want to do a crap ton of not fun traversing). But the old lift was the last old lift at the resort, and sunshine doesn't dare convert one of the out of base lifts to a bubble chair due to wind.

These dividers are amazing. They fix the problem of being squeezed in by people who are sitting too far over.

Here we go again with the unnecessary comments 🦊
It is only going 800 fpm here
Hmmm, it felt like it was going faster to me.
Ngl, this lift kinda seems like overkill for how small of a lift and the size of terrain. Big Shy should have went with a HSQ.
Connor's Lifts it gets really crowded though because it’s the only way to get to the tram
@@j-ep6700 Oh. That makes more sense now.
The heavier chairs are a necessity due to the wind exposure.
