This lift reuses the tower tubes of the old gondola 2, just modified slightly for doppelmayr crossarms. Because of all the depression towers, there is so much friction in the line that some of the local people who built it claim it cannot roll back.
Now this kind of reminds me of Beaver Run at Breckenridge minus the many depression towers and the fact that BR is a poma. I think that when this is replaced, it could be a gondola but it probably won’t be because of the gondola 1 accident.
That Michael Guy This is being replaced next year with a D Line six pack. They wouldn’t not install a new gondola just because of that accident. New technology can ensure that something like that doesn’t happen. They already have plans for a two stage gondola in the works.

Did this lift have a line when you were there?
nedakalTNT Yes, but it wasn’t too long. Only took me about 5 minutes in the singles line.
