Love this channel and the content, but not a fan of the filming and editing style of this video. It seems less professional and like a step backwards from your usual style.

What I struggle to understand is why people think it's okay to take the time and say nasty things. You and Kevin are both amazing. Remember we all have flaw's no one's perfect. Be the way you are we love you guy's.

Mostly it’s either young people or people who are just very dissatisfied with themselves and their own life, and need to let off some steam

That’s why it’s best to just don’t listen to those people, I know how hard that is, I was bullied my whole school life, and it’s really hard to get through that, but in 99% of cases the things they say have absolutely no value :)
It's simple. They never learned how to feel satisfied to actually happy with themself. They feel a void but they never learned how to healthily make serotonin surge in them. So the only way they figured how is the easy way of tearing people down to make them feel powerful and a serotonin surge. It's ass.
And the thing is, I believe it's exactly what she's said - that these people are actually feeling bad in themselves so they dish out hate. BUT I bet if they gave being nice, kind and supportive at try instead, it would be 100x more effective in making them feel better mentally too. ❤

Agreed! Everyone, especially in this industry, is always showing perfection, but that’s not always reality. We know Laurie is amazing and is more than capable of producing perfection, so it helps seeing…less than perfect things to remind us it’s ok if not everything goes according to plan or idea. I’ve definitely had some fails, and when everyone at work is like, “everything you make is great”, I’m always like, nah. It’s not. Y’all just aren’t seeing or trying the things that don’t work out! There’s always a lesson to be learned when things go wrong, and that’s an important step towards anything perfect. ❤

Somethings about this episode was so real. From the introduction to the end you showed that you aren’t just symbols online but you are real people with real feelings. I noticed that if I ever feel something negative about someone who did nothing wrong, I'm usually going through something myself and feel insecure about myself. I've never left a hurtful comment ever on anyone's videos before. Keep your head up girl. You are beautiful inside and out and you definitely deserve everything you want to achieve!
You're right, that person feels like garbage about themselves and needed to take it out on you. It doesn't reflect on you at ALL, because anyone who's actually spent more than 30 seconds watching your videos would see what a kind, caring, fun, BEAUTIFUL (inside and out) person that you are.
I know it's hard not to let the bad outshine the good, but you are absolutely killing it Laurie!! You're already at Rosanna Pansino level! I would LOOVE to see a cake rescue series!! I've been a cake decorator with my own home bakery for 2 years now and last year September I had my first BIG fail for a client cake where I had the worst breakdown I every had in my life, and I couldn't think clearly and ended up throwing the entire cake in the trash😅I would love to see the creative ways we can try to come up with rescuing our cake fails to still end up with something good☺

I found Ro when she had like maybe 10 videos out and loved her content. Over time I feel like she turned into a caricature of herself and I stopped watching. You are super real and bubbly without being cartoonish. You're doing a great job and there's room and audiences for everyone! No need to be compared to anyone else when you're doing great.

Ok listen!!! Don’t you ever let that comment tear you down. YOU are the absolute first person and channel that got me hooked on cake videos. I honestly didn’t even know who she was until being a Netflix judge. You have a totally different vibe and that’s a good thing. I think that was some immature pre teen that clearly was having issues.
I've been watching for a while now, and I just started watching your older videos because I'm all caught up on newer ones lol! I just want to tell you, you are great, I love your videos. You are so open and vulnerable doing this stuff in front of everyone. You could edit out all the mistakes to make it look like you're perfect, but I appreciate that you leave those in. It helps. I like how you're newer videos are put together better than the older ones. It's fun to watch you actually make the cakes, not just recap them. Anyways, you're amazing Laurie!
