Wake up to this fact, people are better in Western societies, and their government is a fraction of the society, so their entire system is better than ours, far better.
Let's not blame the government, it's a fraction of their society. If you still doubt, just look at how we behave when we drive. Especially where there is camera. That's the real "we." We choose a government that matches our value system, we deserve what they do.
Why do you need backup of you know the society/ govt will take care of you? When everyone spends money rolls in the market and it generates more value for everyone in the chain. Hoarding kills wealth.
But for us, we never live, we just sustain a scared life, worried for our own future, anxious about our children's future.
