    This goes to show how undervalued screenwriters are. These guys basically created the whole MCU and get no attention for it. So sad to see this video with only 2000 views because it's so insightful.

      Yea I'm shocked the views are so low. I've only just seen it myself. Something like this should have popped on my feed upon it's release.

    how is natasha dying an upbeat lmao i was so distraught and heartbroken that i couldn't process most of the rest of the movie up until the final battle, i just felt so painfully sad

    • @DomoftheDoctor
      @DomoftheDoctor 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's less of an upbeat for the audience, so much as it is an upbeat for Natasha. She's spent the last five years hoping for a way to bring everyone back, so any fears and anguish about her death are outweighed by knowing that her death will save not only those who were dusted but her best friend as well.

    • @SpFlash1523

      I think what Christopher meant as an "upbeat" moment was the ultimate triumph of her long-running character arc because she knew she was dying for her loved ones to come back and for the family that gave her a chance to redeem herself and for the man first gave her that second chance (and whom made her a part of his own family). I think it even ties to back to that scene in Iron Man 2, when Tony asked her what she would do on her last birthday, she said she would do whatever she wanted to do with whoever she wanted to do it with. So, in a sad, yet satisfying way, she helped save the universe with her best friend Clint Barton before properly sacrificing herself to make A. (make it worth something in the end) and B. (properly cleansing herself forever of her past sins; once she was a cold-hearted killer, but she died a hero and an Avenger.

    How much do you want to bet when Black Widow comes out even though Avengers Endgame is the biggest film of all time,people will still ask how Black Widow is still alive.

    All I want to know is why they couldn't just send Lebowski Thor and his beer keg to Vormir instead of Hawkeye and Natasha

    • @dchhaya983
      @dchhaya983 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Because Thor going back to asgard and having the reunion with his mother makes more sense

    • @dchhaya983
      @dchhaya983 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It makes more sense to send Thor to Asgard as it allow him to have a reunion with his mother, which is more important for his character due to what he is like at that moment.

    • @reidchalmers3094
      @reidchalmers3094 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Because a beer keg has no soul and the rule is 'A Soul for a soul', not 'lose that which you love'. Although, yes, the soul you trade has to have personal value to you.

    They really wrote themselves in a corner with the whole 'soul for a soul' thing. Somebody had to die and like they said Black widow was the least consequential death. The thing is though her self sacrifice has nothing to do with her character arc.
    Nat feels she'll never be more than the killer assassin they made her. She'll never be able to have a relationship or a family like Clint. Never be anything more than a Black Widow. The perfect ending for her would be to overcome her past, to find love, to find happiness, to belong to a family (the avengers) and to become a fully realized woman but all that was sacrificed for the sake of a plot that the writers came up with themselves. I feel bad for Scarlett because I can't imagine how she felt finding out how her character's story ends.

    • @dingus2754
      @dingus2754 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But you’re wrong. She did get her family in Avengers Age of Ultron, and then in Civil War, she did everything she could to keep that family together. In infinity war, she lost that family. In endgame, she took “Whatever it takes” to heart to get that family back. She sacrificed herself because she knew it was the only way to get the family, the love, the friends she so desperately wanted back.

    • @dingus2754
      @dingus2754 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sonic The Hedgehog a characters arc doesn’t have to be about sacrifice and putting aside egos to make a sacrifice. Natasha’s arc is wiping the red from her ledger, and her sacrificing herself for the family she never had and the one she wants to keep, is doing that. It’s noble and heroic for her. Her family comes back and she’s finally good in her eyes. She wiped her red by making the biggest sacrifice she could make. Her overarching arc did come full circle

      You really are the one who truly believe that the og6 have no idea and does not read the script at all huh? it's impossible. especially for og6 for not knowing before hand, months before the filming began than that they never read script and have no idea. Evans literally pull out his script and show it to mackey abt his own end at endgame and mackey confirm it. for the og6 who started it all, and how much they say that they love their characters they play and how protective they are of it bcs the fate of their characters and hiw important the movie gonna be in history, their is NO WAY the have no discussion with the actors or that the actors have not asked or demand certain condition and discussion abt their story. there is no way they came to the set one day and just knowing abt it. Hemsworth literally talk abt how thor gonna change since long ago during ultron, and why the story on thor ragnorok have that ending? Hemsworth and mark def know the foundation. Evans talk abt why civil war has to happen long ago. Basically for at least the og6, the core cast, the have solid knowledge on the story forward ever since pre ultron and knowing the whole summary of last 2 avengers and have their own detailed script ready. There is no way they have no idea bcs after endgame they sorta give out hints that they actually know, the russo even almost say that rdj evans hemsworth and benedict actually read the script.

    • @calebmurphy9406
      @calebmurphy9406 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, sure, you can say that the perfect ending for any character is to see them overcome their struggles and become a fully realized version of themselves. But just like how Tony sacrificing himself says a lot about how much he's grown from the completely self-interested person he used to be, Black Widow sacrificing herself for her found family says a lot about how much she's grown from the assassin who believed that emotional attachments were weaknesses.

    • @overtime8392
      @overtime8392 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, this is one of the weaknesses so far for the MCU. They just have a hard time writing for women characters. BW was everyone's g/f (I mean SNL made a skit about it), SW had a few moments, but for the most part they kept her off to the side... and then focused on her relationship with a robot...I mean Vision. And the best part of Captain Marvel was Samuel L. Jackson. The writing was subpar and her acting was just... ooooof.

    The death of Natasha took me right out of the movie. So much so, when the scene of all the Marvel woman came up later in the movie all I could of is - Black Widow was missing. I'm still bitter about her death. I though Natasha, and Scarlett, deserved better.

      ᗩ ᒪITTᒪE ᑎIGᕼTᗰᗩᖇE two funerals in a movie is a bit much. That would’ve been a distraction imo them crying and mourning was enough for me. Everybody was snapped anyway who would’ve attended her funeral plus she was a spy. It’s not like she had family and friends that we knew about

    • @ghostface8667
      @ghostface8667 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Guero Melon they didn’t do any mourning and the only thing anyone of them does is when Bruce throws a bench. Nothing from Steve who spent 5 years with her ??? Yea no, they literally called nat a cipher so they are spewing bs at this rate. Wish people wouldn’t buy into these clowns. And the avengers, fury, Kline, falcon, Wanda, Rhodes are her family and yet the only person out of them who actually sheds a tear over her is Hawkeye for 3 seconds. No. They needed a shock value. On top of them promising more Nat vs Thanos’ army scenes then to cut them all together is lazy and arrogant writing

      i agree she does deserve better, even though i really liked her sacrifice and the reason behind it, but her character has just been really horribly handled throughout the years, i just felt like she was just getting proper treatment and they just killed her... i get why but at the same time is like they completely forget about her after it, no funeral, no nothing, she was so damn important and also AN ORIGINAL AVENGER and they did not give her a proper send off, it is really upsetting, 10 years and she still gets horrible treatment, the only good news is that she is getting a solo movie, but still HER DEATH IS IMPORTANT . and also to the people that say nat was a spy r whatever that a funeral would not make sense... she was a freaking avenger everyone knew who she was, and tonys funeral was on his backyard not a huge public thing, so fucking ridiculous to not give her a proper send-off with the whole cast. aghhhhhhh this so frustrating, its like saying to the audience her sacrifice wasn't as important and thats why we only briefly mention her death, while tony is literally all people talk about both in endgame and in spiderman far from home, likeee cant the avengers tell people what she did for them to also make paintings of her in the streets, so like we realize as an audience the importance of HER SACRIFICE!, ik clearly super mad at this i just hope the stand alone movie does a good job

  • @angelizwan85
    @angelizwan85 5 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    First, they said Nat is a cipher. Second, she has no life. Third Barton has a family. Fourth she has no family. Fifth kill her for shock value. Six Nat needs to redeem herself which she already did in 10 years. 7th no more question, please. None of these are good answers. It was just bad. They could not even give Nat a funeral or memorial for two minutes but have time to give Hulk dab. Yet people tell me they wrote billion-dollar movies. The movie is good and deserves a high rating. But they made some bad choices in the movie.

    There was another Captain America created in the '50's who could be the subject of new films. The two Caps actually met early in the Marvel comics series. They could introduce him, using a different actor who resembles Chris Evans, or they could make the character be Steve and Peggy's son or grandson who inherited the Super Soldier metabolism.

  • @AtlantaGuns

    See this was the biggest unforgivable plot hole in endgame. You setup the rules for the soulstone in infinity war and then proceed to break them 😂
    In infinity the red skull told Thanos he has to sacrifice someone he loves for the stone. That’s why Gamora’s death was so emotional and also made us feel bad for Thanos. This was the most important action in infinity war and was very important for these two characters.
    And then in endgame you guys proceed to not only break that rule but also minimize the death of Gamora and Thanos’ all important to sacrifice someone he loves for the stone. What did you do? You had black widow commit suicide???? You just broke your own rule! And not only that you made Thanos’ sacrifice a total joke. He had to make a soul crushing sacrifice what did Hawkeye sacrifice? Oh yea nothing, Natasha suicided herself.
    Lamest plot hole that proceeds to make the all important sacrifice in infinity war a total joke and also endgame a plot hole filled movie that doesn’t make any sense.
    Good job guys you make dumb and dumber from GOT look like geniuses 😂😂😂

    These fellas made some really bad choices. Making Bucky the centre of civil war.. Ruining the tension of superhero accountability. Killing Black Widow because her death was not "consequential" and dismissing her with a 2 minute mourning scene..
    These guys write for shock value. That's the problem. There's no narrative or thematic buildup for the characters.

      mira-ie they just want to continue expanding the MCU and introduce new avengers without having too many heroes because then it becomes difficult to write. I’m sure the actors want to go on to do other projects like RDJ is also a producer and is doing another Sherlock Holmes movie, and Chris Evans is a film director. These films took 18 months to film, I’m sure they want a vacation too lol

      @@ActorsWithIssuespodcast if the actor/actress themself that doesn't want to continue their contract i get it becoz they have other desire too.. But what if they themself that love the character and doesn't want to end it but mcu just doesn't want to continue their character becoz to expand it.. For example scarlett said she having difficult moment to shoot ending scene of her character with jeremy renner, the mcu said don't worries we give u a movie.. But that movie telling her history not the present.. Im ok if they refuse to cont the character.. But if it doesn't, it a bit dissapointed..
