I find these videos really soothing. There is something about that reassuring sound of the engines, the long range view, a pilot who knows what he is doing. Its very relaxing.
I'm not sure non-pilots can grasp the precision and discipline with which you fly. I learn something from every flight. And you're a good communicator too. Each video makes other pilots better. Keep up the good work.
Great video as always. Loved the Gary ATIS - "approach lights out of service, birds, deer, and coyote activity on or about the airport. waterfowl throughout the class Delta airspace". Good thing the airport wasn't busy otherwise. :)
could not have subbed any faster, this is absolutely why I log onto youtube. Brilliant content, I dont understand why thousands of people with this kind of access dont do this
Love the unedited long-form flights. Try a cross country. You would be shocked to see how many people who watch the whole thing! I sure would! Thanks for the flight.
Do you work for a company that charters private jets or do you own this plane? Stupid question, I know, but just wondering, and I agree with Paul - I'd for sure watch some longer flights, especially when you do the commentary. Glad I found your channel! Love the vids.
Great Mark. Appreciate you watching. Any of my videos with Telluride or Greenland in the title are my favorites. Check out the Dallas to Montrose video about 23:30 in for my most commonly asked questions.
That is awesome! I earned my private at the strip just north of Montrose (Blake Field KAJZ). I flew into Montrose and Telluride often. Awesome video, man!
Thanks for your videos and the editing that they obviously imply. I find the way you handle work-flow very smooth. Which gives the videos a very soothing effect. There is a significant teaching value in this. Even for small aircraft pilots/students.
Enjoyed the flight. Taught multi/inst. for years. Haven't flown in 15 yrs and now am 78 however the thrill never goes away. I really appreciate the new avionics.
Another very nice flight and video. It's good that you explain things....like the radar altimeter and the "voice" associated with it. Just one more example of why flying with you is so enjoyable!
I designed some of that cockpit. I worked in Cedar Rapids towards the end of that project. A lot of the designs got rolled into King Air 350 and then I was part a team that brought the STC to C90GT.
Thanks for posting this great video. As a private pilot flying C-172s and Sundowner I am always amazed by the difference in quietness and the absence of vibration experienced in a jet powered airplane.
Nice video...thanks very much. One thing...I noticed you changed altimeters to 29.92 after being cleared FL200...but while still well below FL180. If ATC had amended your altitude to stop below FL180, you would have had to guess where to stop and/or quickly reset the altimeters. Also, ATC might have asked you to report out of an altitude, to say, verify vertical separation between you and another aircraft...they of course sometimes ask for that in a pinch when separation might be close (because Mode C only updates once every (center) radar sweep...or every 12 seconds or so). Anyway...better idea to change the altimeters to 29.92 as you pass thru one seven thousand? And hey...of course you know this, but you're living a dream come true. Flying a single pilot jet with your son? Wow. Absolutely priceless.
You have the best cockpit videos on YT. I went through a lot of them (yours and others). You re the only guy to have multiple gopro cameras and you do it all by yourself. Congrats. :)
keep the good work up Josh and you will reach that goal. I wish i could fly and I wanted to be an Airline pilot but some medical issues to a big halt to that :D Love your videos.
Thank you very much for all of your videos and especially this one. I enjoyed flying along with your explanations of what you were doing and why you were doing it. Thanks again for taking the time to make great videos like this.
Thank you sir, all ways. A dream for me sadly just a. dream I'm 53 and have MS I need a ventilator to live, bbut can still do you tube.people like you keep me going annd I thank you.
Hi Jeff! I'm an older, previous life MI Officer (Army) & I've LOVED Aircraft/Flying since I was 6. The more I watch your videos, the more I get to 'live the Pilot's Life,' vicariously, of course. I can't finish my Private Pilot-SE, [65-hrs TT], due to spinal crunch on active duty (thought I was Superman & paying the Price).. This got me wondering if you ever feel like us mortals do, when I travel at 80 mph (Interstate Highways) & have to reduce thrust/lead-foot to comply w/ city speeds of 55-60 mph...it feels like traveling at Ice Age speed. You were an F-16 driver, do you ever feel that way having transported to your current jet? Just curious! Again, your videos really are EXCELLENT.
Look into sport pilot, I cant pass medical after some military injuries, but as long as I have never been DENIED medical, I can fly on my drivers license.
I believe that this is you best video. Good info on cabin ops, short real time flight, 20k or below, cloudy day so no bright sun light to interfere with view. Five stars on this one Captain. Hope you and family had wonderful fourth. Thank You for EXCELLENT VI|DEO!!!!
Thank you for the video. I have been grounded for quite a long time. You have me thinking I might go back and see what I can do about restoring my wings. Watching your trip reminded me how much I loved flying and miss it. Yes it was a great landing smooth as Ice.
PD1: Thanks for your video on the procedures used for starting your aircraft. Very interesting to the non-pilot. Gives us a better understanding on what pilots have to do.
I applaud your business success as well as flight professionalism. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. And the comment previously is correct-- your son is lucky to have a father in your position.
As a military helo pilot starting to fly fixed wings, I really enjoyed your video. You are very cool, calm, collective. Did you fly in the military? Would love to be your right seater.
As a land-lubber non-pilot who spends way too many hours in the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator 9, this video is a fantastic glimpse into the procedures aboard a real flight deck. Hats off to Premier1 Driver for this superbly filmed documentary. Good to see that the FMS in this private jet model is quite similar to the Boeing version, with the Legs and Performance pages of flight path creation almost identical to the Boeing model. Great stuff. I'm subscribing to this channel for sure.
I just watched your video and it was great. I received my single engine license in 1967. I love to fly. I would love to fly in a jet like this as it would be a thrill. Keep the videos coming.
Definitely more in line with this subscriber. Thank you very much for a really good vlog update. Thinking out loud, right on. Sweet ride and slick landing. Thank you sir.
Your correct on the Steel production at Gary, US Steel Co. I work at the US Steel plant in Keewatin, Mn. Your videos are a nice watch. I flew 7 years ago SIL, Had my IR written passed 10 years ago, but never really got back into it. Watching your videos gets me all ready to do it again. Wish I would have continued my Commercial Aviation dream, but life got in the way, Lol. Fly safe, we'll be watching.
I absolutely love your videos and narration. I always learn something from watching your videos. When you say that was a good landing I agree. I didn't even experience any vibration on my computer! There are so many ways to derive satisfaction from flying. Pilot performance and the opportunity to speak with our great air traffic controllers!
Compliment a perfect landing, with a perfect video. It was ok not having that go pro camera working, as we got more views out the windows, which is always good. Thanks for showing the start up sequence, and preflight checks. Single pilot operation brings extra demands, putting video naration at the bottom of the list. Excellent naration and a wonderful flight. Thanks so much for allowing us to ride along again. Your ATC audio quality is the best. Better than most commercial airline video.
WONDERFUL FLIGHT....IT WAS EDUCATIONAL AND RELAXING AND VERY INTERESTING....PILOT DID A FANTASTIC JOB DISCUSING THE FLIGHT....I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH....IM GONNA WATCH THE RETURN FLIGHT IF YOU POST IT....THANK YOU KEN FROM DETROIT
Premier 1, you along with other pilots that post videos of your flight trips, have helped me decided my new years resolution. Im going for my pilots license in 2017!
There's such a big difference in how ex-military jocks manage an aircraft. Way more disciplined and with that extra attention to detail you don't always see with other pilots. This is a joy to watch simply because this is how it should be done.
I've never been more inspired to get my instrument rating. Flying through the clouds like it's nothing (owning and operating a Premier 1A also helps of course). Awesome video.
Always enjoy your videos, good to see you producing them again. Difficult for me to imagine a kid who wouldn't want to sit in the right seat in his Dad's jet, but as a father, I get that some things you just can't control.
Awesome videos, living vicariously in your travels...obviously, flying IS in your blood, as mine...started when my brother in law, rebuilt a Stinson, in 1961 in my parents garage...Keep them coming !!
Extreeeemly cool video. It's so awesome to be able to see this kind of detailed walkthrough of what actually happens there up front and in the left seat. Thanks for posting this - Subscribed.
Thanks for posting your videos and experiences, I am a Chicago area private pilot who is working on gathering the funds to become current again and continue my education in aviation. Cheers from Chicago!
Subscribing. and just discovered and 'watched'...for first time, your channel this evening. i'm a 56 year old musician, who...wished he had pursued this earlier. Dad was LAS ATC, late 60's-early 70's with PATCO. only 'after he died, did i discover my love and passion for Aviation. in the form of 13 years, spent avidly flight simming, of all things. ( but learned a lot; read tons of books, and thousands of hours, at a computer ( lol!) flying some very nicely modeled FS aircraft. ( PMDG '37; couple CitationX's...and Flight One's Mustang, to name a few) got quite familiar with the Smiths FMS in the '37, and so...got to know my s**t, as it were. anyway... watching your stuff and really digging it. (catching this one, but will now 'back up'...to see some earlier works) keep 'em up. it's appreciated! probably post some Q's...now and then.
I'm a relative new-comer to your channel. I enjoy the running commentary and find your videos very relaxing to watch. I'm a former retired AF pilot as well, having flown heavies and fast movers. The equipment in the Premier is pretty amazing....very similar to the Boeing equipment I've flown. It's a very nice aircraft. Your presentation certainly entertains high-timers and fledgling pilots alike. I also love the fact you get enjoy taking your son great places and enjoying time with him. Nice work on the videos and family!
Stumbled onto this video and man I am glad I did. Most times i fast forward past all the talking and pre-flight stuff but you made this entire video very interesting.
Hey there - Just wanted to say fantastic video, I've seen quite a few across TH-cam and stumbles across yours. Its up there with the best. Happy safe flying from the UK !
I've always had Aircraft on the brain since I worked on Air Force Aircraft for 18 years. I'm retired Air Force and retired from a Trucking Company, too. I learned so much of the internal electrical workings of Aircraft during my career. I think my five years with the F16 Falcon/ Black Widows at Hill AFB was the height of the career. I flew to places I never dreamed of going too, just to work on them. It was different from several airframes within a Military Airlift command unit. I never got a pilots license myself even though I wanted it to occur. Just didn't do it. So, now I just piddle with my Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I know it's not the real thing but I'm pleased. Everythng you've been doing reminds me of the Simulator. I still learn things every day. You remind me of some of my Commanders. So intelligent that Aircraft Flying is second nature to you. By the way, that was a good landing. I still haven't gotten use to the tower and ground lingo. I'm working on it. Thanks for the videos. We all appreciate you letting us view.
To much snow for me. Five years of it and freezing on the flightline all the time got to me. I was ready to retire anyway and move back to Texas. I ended up modifying new F16's at General Dynamics, which is Lockheed now for nine months. After that, driving a truck all over the countryside. Keep the videos coming. i haven't watched them all but I will.
Captain, very nice & smooth flight. Reminded me very much of my dad whose last Jet flights were in a Mitsubishi Diamond. This is my first visit to your page, and most likely not the last one.
These step-by-step detail explanations are very educational, please include those more in your future videos. I'm learning watching your videos, it's like a free flight training. :D
I find these videos really soothing. There is something about that reassuring sound of the engines, the long range view, a pilot who knows what he is doing. Its very relaxing.
I concur to that.
Leroy Nyoni
I'm not sure non-pilots can grasp the precision and discipline with which you fly. I learn something from every flight. And you're a good communicator too. Each video makes other pilots better. Keep up the good work.
You know you might be a flight/plane nerd if... You've watched every one of these videos from start to finish.
...and TH-cam didn't have the highest resolution available, so watched in 360p rather than waiting.
(wipes brow)...glad there's more than one of us.
I've watched parts of them twice, but never a whole one.
Grounded for 25 years now...Like breathing now...I watch all of them start to finish...
Busted!
"That was perfection there. Take my word for it". Love it! Can't wait to use that one.
Great video as always. Loved the Gary ATIS - "approach lights out of service, birds, deer, and coyote activity on or about the airport. waterfowl throughout the class Delta airspace". Good thing the airport wasn't busy otherwise. :)

Love the unedited long-form flights. Try a cross country. You would be shocked to see how many people who watch the whole thing! I sure would! Thanks for the flight.
You are welcome Paul. Tough thing about the longer flights is they take a long time for me to edit!
Do you work for a company that charters private jets or do you own this plane? Stupid question, I know, but just wondering, and I agree with Paul - I'd for sure watch some longer flights, especially when you do the commentary. Glad I found your channel! Love the vids.
You can find my background by going to my Dallas to Montrose video and scroll about 24 minutes in to find the answers to your questions.
Awesome! Thanks, lookin forward to watching it.
Very nice and informative video ! What video editing program do you use ?
I'm Binge Watching in 720p '2019'. I've Watched all P1D Vid's Start to Finish Since Day 1. This is one of my Favorites Greg. Thank You, 1 Gulf Mike
My first time with you . . . this was great, thanks.
Welcome aboard!
First time visitor! Loved it very much. Thanks!!
Great Mark. Appreciate you watching. Any of my videos with Telluride or Greenland in the title are my favorites. Check out the Dallas to Montrose video about 23:30 in for my most commonly asked questions.
Will do, many thanks!
That is awesome! I earned my private at the strip just north of Montrose (Blake Field KAJZ). I flew into Montrose and Telluride often. Awesome video, man!

Thank you. That was great. From a member of United 232 heavy.
Enjoyed the flight. Taught multi/inst. for years. Haven't flown in 15 yrs and now am 78 however the thrill never goes away. I really appreciate the new avionics.
i liked the joke about cleaning the plane and then raining, automatically subbed
Perfection! Love listening to you talk through the systems and everything. You really make this interesting for us non pilots! Thanks Greg!
That *was* a sweet landing. Excellent video, excellent! Thank you.
Perfection on the landing, nothing more satisfying and perfection on the ambient sound level, nice work.
excellent video, thanks for letting us in your awesome flight deck !
Makes it all look effortless and most of it went over my head. A cessna 172 looks complicated enough!
Great video, great audio. Thanks.
Sweet plane. Sweet video. Thanks for letting me ride along. You seem like a consummate pilot. I'd fly with you anytime.
Mitch J
Another very nice flight and video. It's good that you explain things....like the radar altimeter and the "voice" associated with it. Just one more example of why flying with you is so enjoyable!
PS: I enjoyed a second viewing of this flight even more....and the landing was velvet.....I saw it!! :)
"that was perfection right there. Take my word on it" lol
Extremely well done, thanks for letting us tag along.
I designed some of that cockpit. I worked in Cedar Rapids towards the end of that project. A lot of the designs got rolled into King Air 350 and then I was part a team that brought the STC to C90GT.
It's a fantastic cockpit.
Premier 1 Driver It's pretty solid. I personally like it better than Pro Line Fusion.
Cool cockpit.
Thanks for posting this great video. As a private pilot flying C-172s and Sundowner I am always amazed by the difference in quietness and the absence of vibration experienced in a jet powered airplane.
Flight, still one of mans most amazing inventions.
I really enjoyed making the trip with you. Thank you.
WOW what a nice plane. Thats the way to travel :-) Thanks for the ride, very interesting.
I did not see one stop sign in the video.
You have great very detailed videos with all of the callouts, checklists, just everything. I love your videos!!!
Nice video...thanks very much. One thing...I noticed you changed altimeters to 29.92 after being cleared FL200...but while still well below FL180. If ATC had amended your altitude to stop below FL180, you would have had to guess where to stop and/or quickly reset the altimeters.

Watched the whole flight, when I got up from my chair I was rather surprised I wasn't in Gary....
Great comment!
bro you should fly your jet with a 360 cam so we can feel like we are flying in the seat
Really enjoying these videos. Especially the ones where you talk through different features and systems.
Looking forward to each video!
Really cool video. Getting my CFI is my top priority, but flying a jet one day might be somewhere in the plan. Looks very fun!
Hey love your videos man :) keep it up.
ayye look who its is
keep the good work up Josh and you will reach that goal. I wish i could fly and I wanted to be an Airline pilot but some medical issues to a big halt to that :D Love your videos.
If you go to ATP flight school (I attended for 1 month back in 2013) and want to have your career in aviation, you can fly the big jets.
No it isn't...it is a really warm video.
Thank you very much for all of your videos and especially this one. I enjoyed flying along with your explanations of what you were doing and why you were doing it. Thanks again for taking the time to make great videos like this.
Amazing job. You greased her in captain. nice job.

Beatiful approach and landing :D congrats
PD1: Thanks for your video on the procedures used for starting your aircraft. Very interesting to the non-pilot. Gives us a better understanding on what pilots have to do.
that was a good Landing captain good job
Living my dream. Retired Mil officer riding right seat on your flights from over here in Seoul, S. Korea. Thanks for bringing us along. Hooah!
Interesting. Excellent job, sir. Subbed.
I applaud your business success as well as flight professionalism. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. And the comment previously is correct-- your son is lucky to have a father in your position.
I sent him back on the airlines today though...gotta make sure he gets an occasional dose of reality. :-)
As a military helo pilot starting to fly fixed wings, I really enjoyed your video. You are very cool, calm, collective. Did you fly in the military? Would love to be your right seater.
Yes I flew in the military. 10 years flying the F-16. And the cool, calm part is all in the editing. :-)
outlaw19able hahaha "collective" instead of "collected"! Nice helo joke!
+Premier 1 Driver Premier 1 Driver.Do you or have you helped people get home to their loved ones??

I got to the party a little late? Great video! Like! Like! Thank you! Cheers!

Does he remind anyone else of Harrison Ford? No?
He's a pilot too lol
No he doesnt...Harrison Ford tends to crash on golf courses and land on taxi ways!
Cheers! The landing was immaculate... very impressed!
I just retired and I'm getting back into soaring again. This is the first video of yours that I've watched and I'm hooked already. Thank you sir
Thank You For Your service! Great flying and Super landing! Safe Flight to you and Yours.
Thank you!
I absolutely love your videos and narration. I always learn something from watching your videos. When you say that was a good landing I agree. I didn't even experience any vibration on my computer! I've never been more inspired to get my instrument rating. Flying through the clouds like it's nothing (owning and operating a Premier 1A also helps of course). Awesome video.
Nick- get that rating. Its the most important one.
Thank you for these wonderful videos. I really enjoy the explantions of the panel.
Always enjoy your videos, good to see you producing them again. Difficult for me to imagine a kid who wouldn't want to sit in the right seat in his Dad's jet, but as a father, I get that some things you just can't control.
Not for lack of trying on my part.
Now THIS is TH-cam worth watching. Nice flight and yes, a superb landing. Subscribed

One of my best ones for sure in this plane.

Hey there - Just wanted to say fantastic video, I've seen quite a few across TH-cam and stumbles across yours. Its up there with the best. Happy safe flying from the UK !

Excellent landing. I didn't feel a thing here in the easy chair. Thanks for the ride.
Pretty good fuel management on this one! Quantity light blinks on just as you touch down. Very nice.
