Welcome to another POV video on our TH-cam channel!
Today we bring a PICK-UP to the channel, the new ISUZU D-MAX with DIESEL engine and 6-speed manual gearbox.
We have here the double cab version, 4x4, but you can also select RWD, 4WD, and 4L.
In this video, we will show some off-road capabilities using rear-wheel drive, and a small experience with all-wheel drive. The 4L (low) mode was not necessary for the conditions tested.
In terms of consumption, it is easy to make the 6.5L at 100KM on the highway. But that is not the purpose, whoever buys this pick-up will use mostly off-road, and then yes, the consumption goes up above 9.
However, we liked this commitment a lot, it is STRONG and HARD, just as it should be!

Hoje trazemos uma PICK-UP ao canal, a renovada ISUZU D-MAX na motorização DIESEL com caixa manual de 6'.
Temos aqui a versão com cabine dupla, 4x4, mas também podem selecionar RWD, 4WD e 4L.
Neste vídeo iremos mostrar as capacidades fora de estrada utilizando tração traseira, e uma pequena experiência com tração integral. O modo 4L (baixas) não foi necessário para as condições testadas.
A nível de consumos, é fácil fazer em autoestrada os 6.5L aos 100. Mas não é esse o propósito, quem comprar esta pick-up irá utilizar maioritariamente fora de estrada, e ai sim, os consumos disparam para acima dos 9.
Contudo, gostámos muito deste compromisso, é FORTE e DURA, tal como deve ser!

@@RR-cg2rq Taxes mate. Here in Greece, the tax doubles if you go from 1.9 to 2.0 litres...Thats why everyone drives small displacement cars (1.0 , 1.4 litres etc.)

Preciso comprar uma, nova isuzu ou l200?
Acho a isuzu bonita mas 1.9 parece-me suspeito quando for preciso usar motor, tração e etc para caminhos mais ocmplicados que esses e areia fina.
A l200 tambem é bonita, mas o super select 2 bate qualquer uma da concorrencia. Propósito será mais estrada e de vez em quando algum off road, mas que seja capaz, qual aconselhas?

Para ser sincero, considero que a Isuzu é mais competente. Tanto dentro, como fora de estrada.
Quanto ao motor da Isuzu, não tenho nenhuma queixa a apontar, sempre disponível e sempre preparado para subir seja o que for.
A L200 é mais “bruta” a conduzir, mais dura. E para não falar que mesmo com as ajudas de condução desligadas, ela corta muito.
Já na Isuzu, com tudo desligado, temos nós o controlo total do que queremos fazer.
Se o propósito é mais estrada, aconselho vivamente a ISUZU.

Tengo una Hilux 2.8 es una gacela en brama ágil como un deportivo buen comportamiento en carretera y en el barro un toro pero deseo también tener una Izusu como segundo auto espero no me decepcione

We didn't test the 3.0 Version

@@jkpisces According to the Isuzu official marketing the 1.9ddi is marginally faster or equal to the previous 3.0L diesel. It could be possible given the age of the 3L design and extreme optimization being placed into the 1.9ddi. I am still somewhat skeptical, but people have dynod them and found it to be quite similar. I am sure with an ECU tune and some modifications to the 3L diesel will put up numbers better than the newer 1.9ddi with similar modifications, but at stock the 1.9ddi looks surprisingly good. It would be nice for isuzu to license this engine design to other car manufacturers. As the power numbers look quite impressive for the displacement and associated fuel economy.
I personally own dmax 1.9 and had tested the 3.0 before. The 3.0 is indeed more powerful especially when overtaking and acceleration. The 1.9 has to drive slow and steady. Slightly underpowered. But I chose the 1.9 bcoz it's cheaper.
Is it better than a hilux? In terms of comfort in bumps and off-road
Sadly, we didn’t tested the Hilux 😕.

Malo la forma de agarrar el volante y voltear lo en curvas,,
Primero los brazos deben ir un poquito flexionados, y el volante al voltear en curvas se recupera sólo y no es recomendable hacer voltear mucho los brazos

It isn’t slow ! It’s hard and powerful when it needs!
More hp means more contamination, the 3.0 is way faster, but it is sold in LA and Oceania
