He knows End walker, but those EDs in JP have totally different playstyles. And, his strategy toward that is pretty weird. Even lame as myself, I still can see his choices are weird toward JP EDs.
AB might’ve done better with Cammy changing up his jump angles using modern against him the added mental stack would’ve opened up more options for himself
Those Jinrai loops are fun to do, but even AB be dropping them. It’s 2frame window for the follow up from roundhouse JR, 2 frames to follow up with short JR. Short JR juggle feels like it’s 1 frame, as well as the follow up. OD JR follows feel like 1 frame timing. It’s not a core part of his game, but if you wanna learn Ken you should practice the JR loops immediately, there are so many corner frame and spacing trap setups. In an online ranked match, when Daigo whiffed his follow-up JR, he got a short DL instead, and decided to double short DL 😂. I drop it 20% of the time. This game requires maximum left hand conditioning, feels more executionally challenging than USF4, due to raw perfect DR, so many QCB / QCF combined with DP and reverse DP inputs. My left hand has never had to be so precise.

I think the problem that modern player who are pro are actually really rare to find. I guess Angry bird rarely fight many pro modern user. So when the time comes, he had a hard time to adjust. We all know fighting modern player isn't the same like classic one. I don't mean angry bird couldn't adjust. But with only ft5 format he didn't have enough time finding Tachi weak spot.
Your comment would only make sense if angrybird was losing the neutral. He wasn't. There was nothing out of the ordinary to adjust to. It was simply a matter of execution. AB dropped too many basic combos

The fact that the organizers changed the score from 4 to 5 half way through that second round in the 5th match shows the respect that Angrybird has lost.
Don't forget Modern players don't drop combos and do the same damage. 80% reduction on specials is nothing compared to faster reaction times and no combo-drops.

Only for certain instant reaction moves like super or dps do they use the one button super. He caught AB reaching for reversals and weird things and was just permanently in his head. Tachikawa won because he played better that’s it.

Once you take that out of the equation, it’s not a competitive fighter anymore. This kid even said he uses Modern “because it’s easier”. He’s trying to bypass the execution hurdle against people on his level! How can you respect that?

@@SHendrixx2 It's not the execution barrier so much as reaction time. It hurts the game imo and removes a lot of depth. Considering whether you can do something within a small window has always been part of the game. A lot of moves like SPD were designed specifically with that in mind. Modern just totally sidesteps that and dumbs down the game.
@MiscFightVids I include reactions with execution as reaction time is based on being able to input fast and precise. But I see why you separated the 2, and I agree with everything's you said.

The player make the control good. I play classic only but there’s nothing wrong with modern. Instant stuff or what not its the player. You guys can play modern all you want and wouldn’t even beat the qualifiers here. Tachikawa’s run in this one is probably the deepest any modern will go. There’s a reason why there is no modern Champ in any major event so far.

I think modern ed might be the best modern character in the game. He gets big benefits from an early DP and it covers one of his biggest weaknesses.

akuma is too risky to use in tournaments. glass cannon. not worthy in a game that a light button can lead to a 50% combo lol
