Thanks, I've been working on my bridge for a year or so but it's not getting much better so I'm looking forward to trying these exercises out. Timing of your video couldn't have been better!
Bridge is one of the movements I could not unlock inspite of my progress in many others... My thorassic mobility is below average. I'll certainly use your progressions. I'm quite hesitant about 3rd one that I'll keep for a later stage...
For the standing arch just start out gentle, over time as you feel more confident in the movement you can go lower. You will gain confidence as you become stronger in the movement pattern!!
@@canadianboymike8747you could try elevating your feet to move your bridge more into thoracic or simply try walking your feet further away from your hands to keep your spine in a longer position.
@@canadianboymike8747 Hey Rod here :) Have you tried elevating your feet in the bridge? this can relieve some of the pressure from your lower back. Start with your feet on a high box, pulsing into end range and over time reduce the height of the box until your are comfortable with your feet on the ground.
@ I have tried it but my shoulder mobility is so bad that it requires way too much strength to get into the position. That’s why I like the leverage of the other movement but it was harder on my low back. I haven’t tried pulsing but I think I’m too far off to just pulse my way into getting it
Your instructions are so clear, thankyou

If you don't have a wheel, but have a foam roller and a stairs, you can get some of the extra range by positioning the roller at the top of the stairs
That is correct! Even a couple of yoga blocks underneath strategically placed!!

Let us know if you need some support with your mobility :)
Interesting exercises. The last one tends to compress my lower back and causes. Similarly happens when I try the actual bridge

Mein Problem ist, ich kann mich nicht hochdrücken….wie kann man das lernen??
We have a program for this, it focuses on the strength to get into the bridge. See here www.themovementcollective.com.au/tmcmovepro
