I thought I noticed a few questionable innuendos in some of your videos, but was never positive because of the straight face. But now I'm sure of it. I feel like I need to go and find the others now. That's funny.
I have a similar setup, but I do prefer alternating male/female, so I can loop the sections back on themselves. This makes cleaning the chilling coil much easier, as I don't have to worry about spilling any glycol in the coil during cleaning, as I generally invert it. Plus, in the case of accidentally hooking up the wrong chiller pump (haven't done it, yet), it would only recirculate back to the chiller.

Which solution are you leaning towards ?
Do you plan on insulating the connections to reduce cold loss and condensation? Since I work on building sites I am fortunate enough to pick up leftovers of armaflex (polyurethane pipe insulation) it comes in sheets you cut and glue to get the fit you want. Loved those connectors.
Thanks Bradley, is there a disadvantage to compressing the insulation so that you have insulation to expand back over the joins and stainless pipe? It would improve your efficiency a bit.

on the dual line is there any insulation between the feed and return lines? It would be minimal but i would think having the return in the same insulation tubing would cause a temp rise in the glycol before it gets to the coil. I now its probably not something that would be an issue, just curious.

I too get a certain satisfaction from crimping an Oetiker clamp. ;)
I'm interested to see how much condensation you get in the warmer, more humid months. Spike's stock insulated hoses sweat like a cheater in church, and I ended up making my own with double layers of pipe insulation from Home Depot. It works, but the huge hoses are a pain in the ass.
Previously I had DIY my own hoses the same way you did. These hoses have a much snug fit inside of the insulation I’m thinking this might help with condensation. There’s always going to be some let’s hope it’s not out of hand. If it’s really bad I will update the video.
