The Intercontinental London O2 Hotel
In this video we check into the Intercontinental London O2 hotel, with a free upgrade to one of their junior suites.
We take you on a hotel room tour of this O2 hotel in London. It’s fantastically located for concerts at the O2, with just a short 2 minute walk, which is mostly inside.
We will tell you how we got the free upgrade in a future video, as well as how we managed to stay in the presidential suite at another hotel for a fraction of the price. This was our second time staying at The Intercontinental O2. The first time was for a convention in 2022, and this time it was to see the fantastic Madonna at the O2. She was absolutely fantastic!
The Intercontinental O2 is advertised as one of London’s best luxury hotels, and whilst it’s a very nice hotel, we have to say that there are better luxury hotels in London. Check out our video on The Langham hotel in London for example. That said, the Intercontinental O2 hotel is the closest hotel to the O2. So close in fact, that you can walk directly from the hotel, to the O2. You follow a long corridor, cross a service road, then you’re in the O2. It’s literally a 2-minute walk from the hotel reception. We really appreciated that. Especially when everyone leaves the concert at the O2 at the same time.
Food and drink can be expensive at the hotel, as you’d expect, but the rooms are nice. We couldn’t fault the room.
The only issue we had during our stay, was that the breakfast menu hanging card that you leave on the outside of your door, with the breakfast selections on, wasn’t collected. Room 1602 is 1 of 2 rooms that is tucked away behind large wooden fire doors. It means there’s no noise from the corridor, but it also means that some staff don’t always walk down there at night to collect your breakfast order. This meant that we went without breakfast. We could have gone to the restaurant for it, but we weren’t overly bothered, but it’s worth noting the issues we encountered.

Can you tell me what the car parking situation is like? Is it just that oval outside or is there another car park as well? Thanks!

There’s the oval, plus approximately 25 more spaces just on the left as you drive through the barriers. We got dropped off by taxi. Both times we’ve been the car park has been busy. There’s parking for the O2 next door, but not sure whether it’s overnight parking or not. The hotel charges £45 a night for parking.

Is it far from the o2 arena like how long does it take to go there

From reception there’s a corridor that takes about 2 minutes to get into the main o2 building/tent. Most of which is all undercover.
If you are going to a show, it would depend which arena entrance you need to find once in the building.
