Ibanez + HP42 together in the title = me clicking at the speed of light.
Whoever I asked about the BareKnuckles, all I was told was that they’re good for SHRED, DJENT and DROP TUNINGS. All I wanted to know was could I afford to put them in my only guitar and still be able to play a variety of music. Basically wanted to know about the clean sounds and versatility. Thanks for this demo. It’s awesome and informative. That’s a sick looking guitar.
Those are nothing but marketing fluffy words which don't mean anything at all. SRV used 13 gauge strings and HOT magnetic pick-ups with an overdriven amp, and with the drive at zeroo on his TS-9 to attenuate the bass and boost the mids like crazy. Does that made him a metal player? Not at all. Ridiculous. In fact, the best sound for metal is arguably to put your distortion *pre* amplification, or to have a discrete distortion pedal (yes, they exist!). As a sound man, the amount of hogwash that guitar players can say about how a pick-up is better for this or that style is pretty insane to me. *It's a bunch of magnets with one or more coils*. It doesn't have a tone on it's own. It transmit electricity more or less well. The hotter your pick-ups are, the bigger your strings are, the more electricity is transmitted when you play, the more signal and the less noise you have in your signal chain. Which means you signal-to-noise ratio is better, which means any pedals you put in your signal chain, or any other effects, will *sounds better*. "Shredding fast necks" and loosy smoochy strings are for noobies. The larger the neck, the more space you have for bends. The heavier the strings, the more metal you have, the hotter your tone will sound, regardless of the style you're going for. This is what this guitar is designed for, while retaining exceptional ergonomics. From a soundman point of view, this is a perfect guitar!
And as a player, Imma need one.
Depends on which bareknuckles you asked about. These aftermath pups are marketed towards metal players as they are more dry and focused with a tighter bass response. But again, thats all just marketing.

hundreds of hours going through reviews while looking for a new axe. Most of these review channels start to drive me crazy for being mundane boring or wasting my time. Anyways I cant stand wasting 3 minutes on most guitar review channels but this guy makes the grind a bit less harsh with an entertaining quirk as I can watch a full 30 minute review and feel like I actually gained something rather than losing my 30 minutes. even if its a review on a guitar im not at all interested in. I think being EU probably helps a bit too because im from US. dum comment realy. just wana say im a fan

Rep Cam + that tone for the demos, Henning might have Otto's humor and love for guitars … and shredding chops, but tone wise he reminds me more of Satriani. So we really getting the most beautiful tone of those guitars as demos and that makes his reviews so attractive for customers and companies alike.

I would love your thoughts on the ibanez RGD61AL and what should i look for in quality issues? I can get a very good price on one tuned up from d til normal e and with a basic setup think it will be a good guitar that will serve me well for a good amount of years?
I think the problem with these metal guitars and including cases is that you're not gonna please everyone depending on what you include. There are gonna be players that want a hard case, and players that want a gig bag. Personally, I thought the price of this guitar was really good considering it's features- and I bought an Ibanez hard case for it. I really wouldn't have wanted them to include a gig bag as I already have enough of those filling up my closet. Just the same, I'm sure there are plenty that wouldn't have wanted to pay the 150 extra for a hard case, or whatever they would have charged to include it.
The only thing I really question Ibanez with on this guitar is the choice of a plastic nut over bone or tusq. Really? Everything else on this guitar feels high end, why cheap out on the nut?

I think it is not tap but split beacuse on their website the pickup diagram shows that it turns off the outer coils
I love the clean sound more on split bridge pick up than neck .... it sounds great.... i more of a riffs guy and i like jsut one pick up guitars , but market is full of 2 pups guitars and i order this.... but i love those split coil on those cleans wow .... i didnt expect its gonna be that much of a difference.....

I agree 100% with your remark regarding cardboard box/gig bag/safecase - really, no doubt the last option is worth that money (I bet any kind of normal hard case is way better than such gig bag..).

It is possible that I said it by using wrong order of words, I apologize.. To me black Thomann case from your video looks much better/stronger than blue-ish gig bag which you showed at 28:15.. Quick question to everyone who knows about this subject. I'm really interested in buying one of the new Ibanez Iron Label models, but i'm in a dilemma. Which pickups are better? Bare Knuckle Aftermaths or Fishman Fluence Moderns? So, basically, the Ibanez RGA61AL or the S61AL?
thats pretty much subjective. The bareknuckles are as awesome as the fishmans are.

Most of the Ibanez Guitars are bolt on necks, but a lot People do like the Sound . The Iron Lable Series for example

Das Problem an Iron Label, Axion oder Premium ist, dass man mal fürs Geld eine super Gitarre bekommt oder leider eine Zitrone geliefert wird. Ansonsten passen die Specs bei dieser Gitarre.

Die Lösung, wie auch für die fehlende "unboxing" Experience aus dem Pappkarton ist imho einfach in den Laden zu gehen, und solange Guitaren zu testen, bis man eine hat die keine Zitrone ist.
Pfeiff auf den Karton und auch auf irgend einen Gigbag. Hingegen, in die Hand nehmen, ausprobieren und gleich mitnehmen.

No tilt no need for scarf joint as the neck can be made from a single piece of wood. If there is a great amount of tilt then the neck is made from two pieces of wood and the scarf joint is the result. Am I completely off base here? Love your channel!!!

@@bartvanraaij No, I won't compare them to EMG nor to any other pups. My ears just found they're dead. Too much voiced toward djent which sound is made mainly with amps, simulator, or plug ins, hence the non personality / generic pickups sounds.
Just think how much better that would look in HIGH GLOSS! At least give a buyer the choice of shity satin or GLOSS!

Maybe under new leadership, Gibson will be reaching out to you to review their guitars. I'm not an Ibanez guy personally and you review a lot of Ibanez guitars.
i still think ESP ltd edges this out at the same price point. If only by a tiny bit, i think a gloss over the paint job would have been a better way to go. I would still buy buy one though.

Love this guitar but I have to say the fret board looks dry as hell. :) Sounded so killer on the Rockerverb.
I've had a few ibanez with dry boards. If you oil it once you get it they're amazing. But it is annoying that you have to oil them for the money you spend.

Indonesian made, $1100, no scarf joint or volute, plastic nut and no gig bag; I don't care if the qualities are getting better, I will never spend that much dough on a indo made instruments.This is really getting silly. I'd rather get a korean made chapman pro or even a made in usa Kiesel.
I am not sure if the Chapman Pro's are on the level of this Ibanez... they do come with cases and have volutes... but I played some and was highly disappointed. A Kiesel is obviously a good guitar, no argument there... if you live in the US, that is an option... tougher in Europe.
@@EytschPi42 I appreciate your opinion Henning. I have nothing against Indonesian manufacturered instruments. I own a premium that I picked up brand new for USD $500. That guitar is very good for what it costs. The thing is , times are tough and money is tight these days. @ that price point, it is very difficult for me to justify spending my hard earned money on the guitar. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Thank you.

Can you get the names such as bareknuckles, bolt-on etc.. right next time. You're doing a review! Shouldnt you know the basics right? I love you how you make it fun but literally this particular video made me question how you review this guitar and other videos you have. You have a rep right there! ASK HIM! Do you even know how a guitar is made? Im not going to expect you to know the EXACT NAME or MODEL but just the freaking term/general name for it. Please get it right.
