i got absolutely destroyed by a lissandra supp with glacial augment, it was embarassing. my adc was also baffled, we had no idea how to counter and the snowball was insane.
Lissandra with new Glacial Augment and Everfrost is a nasty combo and you haven't mentioned it. Build Everfrost and then full Haste, and watch your opponent slowly freezing to death is truly a demonic (hilarious) experience.
Being a liss otp i've tried it on the support role as well because she's way too bad even against favorable matchups on mid lane to carry and it works surprisingly well. The only two things i recommend absolutely is having font of life because it procs on ghosts and practice the "invisible claws" especially in the big blocks of terrain because people never expect you to "teleport" and travel faster when you reactivate it early when it's in the middle of it (and there's a cheesy one where you throw it on the "void" on the huge wall that's on the side of the lane, it will make you pop out far enough to ult anyone that's in the side where you landed it). :)
I mean to be completely fair, every streamer I've seen who has played with any bard main, always ends up being miserable because the bard is 1/10 and does nothing. (except like polypuff but he isn't even a 1 trick)

A lot of high elo streamers don't love coin flip kind of matches, but since bard doesnt need to be "ahead" to do well, they tend to troll because bard mains dont really lose anything from their opponent having gold.
My Best Friend introduced me to League of Legends in Season 10. I started off being hardstuck in Silver. I was maining support with Poppy and Leona. She has now passed away due to Covid last year. May her soul rest in peace I discovered Lissandras Kit to be very entertaining and quite suitable for support. So i played it. And reached Platinum in my first season spamming Lissandra Support. I played an Aftershock Font of Life Page with Presece of Mind (RIP) I rushed Mobility Boots and perma spam ganked Midlane. My Itembuild was Relic Shield Mobi Boots Protobelt into Zekes into Zhonyas.
Another absolute banger. Love the origin story, and I'm a support main too never get enough of these. And your spon-cons are always actually good and useful. Gobb-bless m8!
I've been trying this build in solo q and here is my experience. If you have an ADC that's willing to commit to your level 2 all in, you will probably snowball the lane, and if you have a competent team who knows how to push advantages, you will win the game. On the flip side, if your team is noncommittal, you will E in and die after enemy team focuses you. I have literally pulled off the E > W to root multiple enemies > Self-Cast Ult > Zhonya's like this video mentioned only to have my teammates stand around while the enemy team just waits out my abilities then kills me. And then my team apes after I'm dead and then blames me. It's high risk, high reward. When my team is on board it's so much fun. When my team is bots, I get blamed for off-meta pick.
"He was upset at people trashing Bard so he found something worse to terrorize them with." From a former Bard main to a now off-meta support player - I know that feeling. Also, Horizon Focus only increases YOUR damage to the target, not everybody's.
The main issue I have with the build and runes are that there is simply not enough mana. Lissandra is insanely mana-intensive so unless you have really good mana management, you will instantly run out of mana. That's why I prefer going everfrost and the inspiration tree on her for some more mana. Loved the video tho.
Well that's the thing; better players manage their mana pools easily. I am a Sona main and I know all too well how quickly she runs out of mana. During S10 (before the new items), I'd build her full AP just to help carry my team. I would never build Tear, because it felt like a waste of an item when I could pick up a Lich Bane and Deathcap instead (for more damage). Without that mana regen (as I never took anything in the sorcery tree like manaflow), I had to learn how to manage my mana very well. Because of this, even now that she's only decent these days with a proper support build, I can save a lot of mana while also poking often. She doesn't get her mana regen until after she gets a few support items, so she starts out just the same as any other build. As for Lissandra, regardless of how you build her, she will always use up mana in the early-game. If your early-game mana management is really good, you won't even need to worry about mana in the mid-to-late-game because she would have scaled by then, so the damage and CC she deals will make up for ability spam. Think of Rocketbelt Annie: she always uses up a lot of mana in the early-game UNLESS you last hit minions with Q (for mana refund) to farm, and ONLY poke with autos (and Q/W stuns) until the enemy is low enough to all-in. Once Annie gets her Rocketbelt, she can deal enough damage to make up for her lack of mana. Rocketbelt Annie is 100% better carry-material than any Everfrost/Ludens Annie.
I have been having a lot of success with Lissandra tank support. Here's the runes choice: Glacial + Perfect Timing + Biscuit + Cosmic Insight - Bone Plating + Font of life. The core items are Evenshroud + Zhonya, boots can be either Ionian or Steelcaps/Mercury, the rest is optional.

@@attran4364 I think the biggest key to punishing poke supports is to understand what your strengths are, when your powerspikes happen (and how powerful they will be), and to have confidence in yourself! Play like you KNOW you will win. The reason a lot of poke supports get destroyed by tank supports, such as Thresh or Blitzcrank, is because they are actually relatively weak by comparison! Say you're playing Lux and you're against a Leona, for example. Lux is actually quite weak in the early game, especially her autos. She primarily relies on abilities for poke. If she misses an ability, she can easily be punished. Her Q can only go through 2 targets, while Leona's E can go through minions and ONLY latch onto a champion, which leads her to a stun combo (E+Q) all while taking no damage with W. If you are playing Leona and you constantly run away or let yourself get poked out of lane by Lux, then yes, you will lose. But if you play like you know you're going to win, chances are you'll win the fight every time. When you are playing Tank Lissandra, play with the advantage of knowing your enemies don't know you're tanky. I can guarantee most Bronze players don't even look at the items you're building. In fact, maybe building FULL tank would be better (items like Abyssal and Stoneplate). They will keep trying to kill you because they think you're a squishy mage while you take no damage and allow your ADC to kill them off, OR they'll run away because they think you're a powerful mage which allows you to engage with her claw and hit them with a stun. Use your off-meta build to your advantage and you'll win almost every time!

I love lissandra, I used to play her a lot mid even hitting rank 1 in the world on lissandra according to league of graphs website getting grandmaster with around 75-79% wr. Maybe I should rekindle my love for the champ and try her out support
Try this combo in Ultimate spell book lol. Use Bard or Ekko, then try to get lissandra ult, then crown of the shattered queen, then Zhonya's, then G.A and if possible, Chemtech soul.

Love my girl Lissandra, especially when I can perform "The Forbidden Jutsu". So like what was said in the video; Ult and Zhonya's for 5s of being untargetable, but add a Stopwatch as well to that timer if you haven't used it before Zhonya's was built.
Sooo... just tried this... turns out its pretty fking sick. Press R to insta-lock assassins/divers in place, with free protobelt eng. Even worse if you cast E before protobelting, to get an ult off before taking the E back to your team.

i played lissandra support. poppy is good too for another weird pick. utility. there was always potential since all of her abilities are crowd control except her long range alistar jump that can go over walls
the fact that Poppy can just say no to engages with her W is kind of underrated in a duo lane, imo. So many junglers are just denied the ability to even gank her lane because she just says no to their gapcloser, add an ADC into the mix to take advantage of their CC time and honestly I can see her becoming a nuisance pretty easily.
This pick is perfect, so much fun to play, great engage, counter engage. She's got it all. She can build for damage, she can build tanky even with focus on low CD's.
lissandra seems belong to be a support to optimize her passive. if you are in mid lane ur pasive will be useless unless someone gank you and you kill one of them in 2 v 1
I've been finding success with this build but in a completely different way. Pick Aftershock, build relic shield into Imperial Mandate and then full tank (last season I almost always built Abyssal Mask second). One of the best engage supports. Just don't bother with her Q, max W
Been going by Trix or Trixless for past 2-3 yrs now. this is my first year playing and i tried lisandra this year too, on support too, with flash ignite obv too but everyfrost over rocketbelt. Seeing this was a big coincidence and pretty crazy. but im bronze : D

With her nerfs, I really doubt she could climb to Masters in the Jungle. I've been a Sona main for quite a while, and she was at her best when she could build AP and one-shot people. She made for an excellent mage assassin, and during that period, she could absolutely work as a Jungler. Though, currently, she is neither strong enough nor reliable enough (in jg at least) to be in Jungle without either getting hard-countered (since nearly everyone counters her outside of Support) or focused. Like Nidalee, she would have to rely on ganks, meaning she wouldn't be able to get the hefty mana regen of the new Support items since she would have to swap for AP items. Even a Ludens isn't enough with how much mana she requires to be useful. If she was AD Sona Jungle, on the other hand, it *might actually work!* I play AD Sona for shits and giggles from time to time, and it's surprisingly enjoyable as long as you know how to play Sona (and manage mana really well). Could I see her getting to Masters on AD Sona Jungle? Well, that's up for debate. But it could be possible if the person playing her is a good enough Jungler and a good enough Sona with a good enough team.

I am kinda surprised that Lissandra is not meta supp\apc like Swain or Seraphine, she is better 2v2 because of her passive and CC In mid she often has not enough damage for solo kills so relies on ganks and roams anyways, in bot there are no such problem, she is also doesn't rely on lvl that much
Honestly, Bard mains are so scary. Imagine getting Mastery 7 on one of the most difficult supports in the game by managing to use Bard properly. It shows how good your decision-making skills are whenever you use your ult, how a monster roamer you are because your passive forces you to, and how easy is it to gank your lane/other lanes because of your portal. Most of the time, they're just meming around the map but they can be quite scary.
Great work as always, but you forgot ability order... I'd personally put 3 points into Q then max W or 3 points into W then max Q. Q > W > E levels 1-3

So many junglers are just denied the ability to even gank her lane because she just says no to their gapcloser, add an ADC into the mix to take advantage of their CC time and honestly I can see her becoming a nuisance pretty easily.
This pick is perfect, so much fun to play, great engage, counter engage. She's got it all. She can build for damage, she can build tanky even with focus on low CD's.

lissandra seems belong to be a support to optimize her passive.
if you are in mid lane ur pasive will be useless unless someone gank you and you kill one of them in 2 v 1
I've been finding success with this build but in a completely different way. Pick Aftershock, build relic shield into Imperial Mandate and then full tank (last season I almost always built Abyssal Mask second). One of the best engage supports. Just don't bother with her Q, max W
Been going by Trix or Trixless for past 2-3 yrs now. this is my first year playing and i tried lisandra this year too, on support too, with flash ignite obv too but everyfrost over rocketbelt.

Day 1 of waiting for "how a sona jungle reached MASTERS"
With her nerfs, I really doubt she could climb to Masters in the Jungle. I've been a Sona main for quite a while, and she was at her best when she could build AP and one-shot people. She made for an excellent mage assassin, and during that period, she could absolutely work as a Jungler. Though, currently, she is neither strong enough nor reliable enough (in jg at least) to be in Jungle without either getting hard-countered (since nearly everyone counters her outside of Support) or focused. Like Nidalee, she would have to rely on ganks, meaning she wouldn't be able to get the hefty mana regen of the new Support items since she would have to swap for AP items. Even a Ludens isn't enough with how much mana she requires to be useful.
If she was AD Sona Jungle, on the other hand, it *might actually work!* I play AD Sona for shits and giggles from time to time, and it's surprisingly enjoyable as long as you know how to play Sona (and manage mana really well). Could I see her getting to Masters on AD Sona Jungle? Well, that's up for debate. But it could be possible if the person playing her is a good enough Jungler and a good enough Sona with a good enough team.

I am kinda surprised that Lissandra is not meta supp\apc like Swain or Seraphine, she is better 2v2 because of her passive and CC
In mid she often has not enough damage for solo kills so relies on ganks and roams anyways, in bot there are no such problem, she is also doesn't rely on lvl that much
lissandra tank support is always verys fun its basically like leona

Honestly, Bard mains are so scary. Imagine getting Mastery 7 on one of the most difficult supports in the game by managing to use Bard properly. It shows how good your decision-making skills are whenever you use your ult, how a monster roamer you are because your passive forces you to, and how easy is it to gank your lane/other lanes because of your portal. Most of the time, they're just meming around the map but they can be quite scary.

I love glacial everfrost lissandra. It is so incredibly trolly. Liss support is definitely the strongest she's ever been this season.
