Yeah I can confirm. Some dude added me back in 2018 because I was #12 Soraka in NA at one time and asked to duo. Being an extremely introverted Soraka otp I refused and soon after quitted league because I was too shy to delete the guy but too embarrassed to see him on my friend list. I became a lot more outgoing after I got in touch with reality and life has been going up lately. That was the turning point of my life.

In my years of gaming, vc isn't required when your teamate(s) and yourself know your roles and the expected objecteive. It helps in the early on if you don't know what's going on but it tends to just become a vocal spam match from excitement.
I love seeing duos like these. Also I would kind of love to see some videos on old builds and play styles(like years old) that changed the campion. Like the old bruiser Soraka top.

I've been trying this lane from time to time ever since Ivern was released and it always crack me up, it's so fun. The hard part is to convince the only good Rengar player I know to play it. It's not a free win, like he said on the video you have to know what each other will do and always play one step ahead. It reminds me of *Cho'Gall* from Heroes of the Storm, if anyone played that game.
Augh, played against this a few times. The first game was just shell shock, we just got destroyed. I don't remember much about the second time but it didn't go well. The third time, we went Zoey and Sivir. We actually had a really good back and forth, won lane by a decent portion before the first tower was down. The Rengar snowballed off of the other lanes and they won, still it was a good game.
Even better than the strategy is the story how it came to be. A Rengar just invites someone around his skill level to play together. Both having different expectations (Ivern going support) basically randomly "trolling" for fun. It works. They continue. They clime further together. A truly amazing companionship. Having fun and just trust the random stranger who you basically meet by accident. The fact that they basically know nothing about each other and still have such a bond is truly heartwarming. (I assume because they never heard each other's voice)
omg this looks so fun to play as a duo, but imagine Rengar Ivern bot teaming up with Addy is helpless top Taric playstyle and a Kindred jungle for ranged dps and 6.5 sec undying ult combo 🙃

I unironically just recently started playing Rengar bot with a friend of mine as Ivern but lethality in lower Gold elo and gotta say its the most fun inducing bot lane combo i have ever played.
This basically revitalized me and my friend's enjoyment of the game, he's an Ivern main that hates everyone on the team that's not me, and I'm a Trundle and Rengar top main lol
Me and my friend who likes playing volibear and Renekton bot: Yeah, I'd like to see you try If you're wondering how this works, simply you play like a Leona. Once you're level 2 or level 3 simply go full ham. They can't even hide under tower due to voli ultimate, and on top of that they're bruisers who are used to diving under tower so it's honestly really op in any elo unless you fall behind due to stupidness or jungle camps you. Once you're behind it's hard to come back with this duo, but still. Renek stun lasts long and then there's voli stun. Even while behind, if you can catch the adc slacking they're gone
legit just pick rengar adc with any good support its free, morgana, thresh, alistar, shit lke dat. Even bard helps since he offers u a saving grace from ur awful lvl 1

you should make a video like this about champs that are just unpopular for whatever reason like "how a aurelion sol got to challenger" or azir, maybe ryze etc. your videos are nice not because of the off meta picks you feature, but the though process and explanation you give to those picks. i think many champ are unpopular because players dont understand them, so your videos in this style could be very nice to watch for meta picks too. honestly even a top tier meta champ would be very interesting to watch as long as it comes from a player who managed to climb high with it. as i said, your videos are nice because of the though process and explanation you give, it can work with anything, you dont need to limit yourself to off meta picks.
The counter is to kill focus ivern after he protects rengar. The survivability comes from ivern added shield and health to rengars anti cc and stuff. Ivern can't protect him self and rengar at the same time. So once he protects rengar have an assassin kill ivern. I've countered this many times with my reksai. Usually ivern shields the rengar and lays bushes and everyone runs as rengar chases. Then I come in and kill ivern. Without ivern. It's just a basic normal rengar.
I played a lot of Ivern + Rengar bot (me being Ivern) with a friend, just to have fun, we would mainly just mess around. But the moment I saw this I video sent it to my friend and holy crap we had so much fun. Thank you!

I remember when two friends of mine, one Master at the time and one Platinum did in this in a draft that I was in, with most of the guys in the lobby being Bronze. Rengar got like 40 kills I think and Ivern about 20+ asssists. One of the funniest games I have ever played....
this was actually done before btw. Two guys got to KR Chal with it before you couldn't duo in masters +. But they took tp instead of barrier on rengo and they had a similar build but not the exact same since it wasn't s11. They also had slightly different strats Im p sure
"Two champions who work well together and two players who know exactly what the other wants to do before they do it." I'm not kidding, I'm 36 and have been gaming over 3 decades. This is me and my youngest brother, especially on League. It saddens me a lot he never wants to play SR anymore and hates bot lane now because we used to win so many consecutive games by playing that way. The crap we pull off together without saying a single word sometimes is extremely satisfying. It was the same years ago with WoW and CoD. We would dominate lobbies by synergizing together. I'm ex-active duty Army so I'm a god level support. I always brag and tell other gamers I'm the teamiest of the team players even going out of my way to try and mediate teammates who are fighting. The cool thing about it is, if you do that, it actually does help you win games. If you can refocus your teammates on the opponent instead of each other and lighten them up a little there's almost always an immediate noticeable improvement in their gameplay.
Their overall strategy and tactics are brilliant too. We used to play things like Draven / Lulu a lot or Vayne / Zyra, but we would pull stunts too like Pantheon / Braum and my personal favorite... Lee Sin / Poppy. Similar to these guys we would take off meta summoners and level our abilities weirdly so they wouldn't expect the early punishment coming. =)
Even the lack of voice coms is similar. We grew up gaming together. I started on Nintendo and he started on SNES and we've been a duo ever since. When online gaming was first becoming popular voice coms were rare or very poor quality so we typically played without them. It makes perfect sense that would help develop behavioral understanding.
Understanding player behavior is probably the biggest advantage you can give yourself in any game. I figured it out playing CoD a lot years ago. People tend to react to certain things the same way or behave a certain way in various situations or locations. You can take advantage of that knowledge to give yourself the edge when you're mechanically bad at the game or at least not as good as some people are on twitch/reactionary games.
Example: I sucked at twitch shooters for a long time, hated them. Then I figured out I could turn my sensitivity way down but aim where the enemy was going to be and I could control my aim better. I would die as soon as I had to react to someone up close though so I had to compensate. I took a theory I learned about in the army and applied it to the video game. The theory was this; in a firefight between two individuals using similar weapon platforms and of similar skill (all things being equal), the guy who shoots more bullets at the other guy is mathematically, statistically, much more likely to win that gun fight. So what did I do? I started using an off-meta weapon with extremely high rate of fire, used attachments and perks to compensate for the slow reload speed (reason for unpopularity), and focused the entire kit on running fast and hip firing at extreme distance to rapidly kill people. It was insane how effective it was for someone like me who was terrible at aiming. I could actually aim from the hip, eliminating the time it takes to ADS, pre-aim at doorways and pathways I knew had high traffic, and hip fire from absurd distances and it would riddle people with bullets so fast they wouldn't even have time to ADS themselves or acquire their target. Because I was so bad at aiming I also got good at using my tacticals and utility equipment to be aware or prepare for people coming from other angles.
I’ve been practicing this comp with a friend and while I don’t reach a positive game often mostly because my CS is TERRIBLE. It’s very fun mid late game when you get tons of bushes. Went like 10/17/14 in a game cause jumping fun.
Me and my friend were testing this in early season (like 50 games) and we were hardstomping everyone. Anyways, our hardest match up were against ashe and blitz, other are not that hard
I've played against this combo before. Our lane got absolutely demolished by it, wonder if it was the same people because this happened a couple years ago.

His empowered w still works the same, only his normal w gives ressistances
I doubt it. Rengar can probably just change to cleanse in super high CC matchups if he has to
the rengar change is a buff its just gonna make ivern rengar even better with the instant cast on E
they gave the cleanse back to him. I'm pretty sure that the only real change kit wise is he will be a better bruiser because of W giving resistances.

Well it's never responsible to keep your documents in a wallet to begin with. Usually keeping those things in your top box is safer.

I remember when two friends of mine, one Master at the time and one Platinum did in this in a draft that I was in, with most of the guys in the lobby being Bronze. Rengar got like 40 kills I think and Ivern about 20+ asssists. One of the funniest games I have ever played....
this was actually done before btw. Two guys got to KR Chal with it before you couldn't duo in masters +. But they took tp instead of barrier on rengo and they had a similar build but not the exact same since it wasn't s11. They also had slightly different strats Im p sure
the rengar camo changes just made this so it works with senna somewhat too

"Two champions who work well together and two players who know exactly what the other wants to do before they do it." I'm not kidding, I'm 36 and have been gaming over 3 decades. This is me and my youngest brother, especially on League. It saddens me a lot he never wants to play SR anymore and hates bot lane now because we used to win so many consecutive games by playing that way. The crap we pull off together without saying a single word sometimes is extremely satisfying. It was the same years ago with WoW and CoD. We would dominate lobbies by synergizing together. I'm ex-active duty Army so I'm a god level support. I always brag and tell other gamers I'm the teamiest of the team players even going out of my way to try and mediate teammates who are fighting. The cool thing about it is, if you do that, it actually does help you win games. If you can refocus your teammates on the opponent instead of each other and lighten them up a little there's almost always an immediate noticeable improvement in their gameplay.
Their overall strategy and tactics are brilliant too. We used to play things like Draven / Lulu a lot or Vayne / Zyra, but we would pull stunts too like Pantheon / Braum and my personal favorite... Lee Sin / Poppy. Similar to these guys we would take off meta summoners and level our abilities weirdly so they wouldn't expect the early punishment coming. =)
Even the lack of voice coms is similar. We grew up gaming together. I started on Nintendo and he started on SNES and we've been a duo ever since. When online gaming was first becoming popular voice coms were rare or very poor quality so we typically played without them. It makes perfect sense that would help develop behavioral understanding.
Understanding player behavior is probably the biggest advantage you can give yourself in any game. I figured it out playing CoD a lot years ago. People tend to react to certain things the same way or behave a certain way in various situations or locations. You can take advantage of that knowledge to give yourself the edge when you're mechanically bad at the game or at least not as good as some people are on twitch/reactionary games.
Example: I sucked at twitch shooters for a long time, hated them. Then I figured out I could turn my sensitivity way down but aim where the enemy was going to be and I could control my aim better. I would die as soon as I had to react to someone up close though so I had to compensate. I took a theory I learned about in the army and applied it to the video game. The theory was this; in a firefight between two individuals using similar weapon platforms and of similar skill (all things being equal), the guy who shoots more bullets at the other guy is mathematically, statistically, much more likely to win that gun fight. So what did I do? I started using an off-meta weapon with extremely high rate of fire, used attachments and perks to compensate for the slow reload speed (reason for unpopularity), and focused the entire kit on running fast and hip firing at extreme distance to rapidly kill people. It was insane how effective it was for someone like me who was terrible at aiming. I could actually aim from the hip, eliminating the time it takes to ADS, pre-aim at doorways and pathways I knew had high traffic, and hip fire from absurd distances and it would riddle people with bullets so fast they wouldn't even have time to ADS themselves or acquire their target. Because I was so bad at aiming I also got good at using my tacticals and utility equipment to be aware or prepare for people coming from other angles.

I’ve been practicing this comp with a friend and while I don’t reach a positive game often mostly because my CS is TERRIBLE. It’s very fun mid late game when you get tons of bushes. Went like 10/17/14 in a game cause jumping fun.

Me and my friend were testing this in early season (like 50 games) and we were hardstomping everyone. Anyways, our hardest match up were against ashe and blitz, other are not that hard
