Just a tip for making bags, adding the lining will make the body stronger BUT my favorite tip is using clear fishing line held with your yarn to make the straps. It’s completely invisible and it makes it so it doesn’t stretch! So if you plan on getting a lot of use out of your handmade bags then I would seriously recommend!
You are a lifesaver. Me and my friends were making brackets and I have now been left with 3 roles of that stuff, hopefully this helps me get rid of it all 🙏
hahahahah for some reason granny squares are the only ones that get a pass for me 😭 but only the basic granny square design. Anything with intricate twists and turns make me grow impatient lol
i actually found that sunburst granny squares are very stimulating! there’s a lot of different stitches so there’s variety- one time i made a beanie with just hdc and it really tested my adhd lol
I like to make difficult patterns with different stitches than usual to make it different. I CANNOT with normal panels with only one stitch, I get soooo bored
I'm glad you made the mistakes you did and left them in the video, because it really helps me know what to look out for when I make one for myself. I love the big one, but I would make the strap shorter. I personally like my bags to hit me at the dip in my waist so I can cover the top with my arm to prevent theft. I think you did a great job on all the trinkets and decorations. I know you didn't enjoy doing them, but they turned out really cute. That black bag is AWESOME!! I'll definitely be making one of those! The starfish bag was really cute, but I'm 60 so I probably wouldn't carry that one. It's adorable for someone young though, and I'm thinking it might be a great gift for my grandkids or great nieces. Thank you for all the great ideas!
I don’t know if it’ll help anyone but as a quick tipp from someone who’s been sewing for a while and also loves crocheting it’s best to plan ahead for the lining. what I mean by that is that the tracing method works great but if you add sides (if you don’t just sew the front and back together) it’s best if you make your sewing pattern before you crochet the different parts together. That way you can be way more exact and the lining will fit better. Also depending on the fabric you’re using you might want to do a quick zigzag stitch around the fabric pieces (like right next to where you sewed (on the outside)) because some fabrics unravel and that way it’ll last longer. 10:00
Honestly, I like that the little swirl picture is hidden under the flap on your messenger bag! When I shop for a bag I like when you have little hidden details like these that add personality to a garment or an accessory!
Definitely, I started in like 9th or 8th or even 7th grade, I forget it was way before covid tho. and now I’m a senior in highschool. And her videos help a lot, especially with creativity and ideas. Because I get art block sometimes and I need new ideas and I absolutely love her videos
Hi, I like all your bags. Watching your video made me realize all the gifts given to each one of us and how different we are. Some years ago, when I was younger, I made two bags, which I still have today. I still use them as deco because I have never carried them. I like to look at them. I'm glad to see you have a daily purpose for your bags. I love your ideas❤
All 3 bags are BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm going to vote: 1- black bag 2- messenger bag 3- ocean bag - - - - - I asked my granddaugther to pick one in her favorite color.
@ikoxun -You have so many ideas that I just couldn't stop watching you. You should start thinking from now of starting your own business or a table in a flea market cause you have TALENT. Like the messenger bag and the black bag - made in different colors, and i bet they'll sell like "bread out of the oven" You are young with so much ahead of you. I wish you the Best!! 💖🙏
They are all so beautiful!! I am so impressed by your work; I've only been crocheting a year but I pretty much always follow patterns because it is so much harder for me to create something from complete scratch. Your work is so inspiring, seeing how you freehand most of it!
I made a beautiful (IMO) grocery bag using Tunisian crochet and acrylic yarn in my early days of learning to crochet. I was so pleased with it when it was finished. I was not so pleased, however, when I tried using it. The whole thing stretched out almost to the floor!! 😂😂 I still love the bag, but it's more for show than for what I'd intended to use it for. This was how I learned to use cotton or non-stretchy yarn for items like grocery bags 😂😂😂
I love your channel since you're so relatable, I can totally understand how boring it is to have to follow tutorials! I also prefer freehanding cos even though I'm not sure how it'll turn out, I'm always excited to see the outcome 😊
My goal as a crocheter is to someday have a lot of very creative projects done like you, even if I don't use all of them. You are such an inspiration ❤
Beijos do Brasil 🇧🇷
I have add as well and it makes my life a living hell most days. I always start crochet projects and never finish them. I think I’m scared 😂 your bags are absolutely beautiful ❤❤
This is such an enjoyment to watch and it makes me wish youtube and video editiing and screen capture software was as available as when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I love you stream talking and the excitement in your voiec talking about the details you wanted in your bags. Keep that passion and enjoyment, take breaks when you need to, and yes adhd is absoulutely a bitch on the creative and progress process 😭
I absolutely love all your videos and you are such a huge inspiration to me not only crocheting and knitting but in everything else. I hope one day im as good as crocheting and knitting as you ❤❤
I wanted to do a messanger bag as well and now i have a good reference and tutorial jey :D (also THE ACE PIN AHHH from a fellow ace i saw that and it made me really happy to see that today)
are you talking about the sparkly yarn ? 😭 I used to shop there in the past but I avoid them now so I probably still have some products sprinkled in my supplies here and there ~
I just found your video and I love it! I am going to make messenger bag based on your pattern, I can't wait to start. I really like way you talk about your works and I think I will stay on your channel longer!
Hi! I made the star bag and it turned out so cute, Its winter in aus currently and i made ur cat beanie with flaps aswell and loved it! I love ur seasonal crochet videos so much they always inspire me to make more and more. For ur next winter crochet video or just in general could u try making a cat beanie with a scarf attached instead of just earflaps? i got the idea when u styled ur beanie with a scarf and thought about how cute it would b if both were attached somehow. I've only just started crocheting and honestly dont know how i would go about it, but id love to see u make a video on it! Thank you for all the patterns you post, they are greatly appreciated im sure not only by me but so so many others! :)
I made that messenger bag. Thank you soooo much for this tutorial. I had this big question about my college bag which one I'll buy or should i just make it myself because I'm recently into crocheting stuff...it's sorted out now becoz of u!! ❤😊Just that decorating part is still pending 😅 you are really my inspiration👊🏼
I'll probably bring the messenger bag and the little black shoulder bag! I also wanted to make a crochet bag specifically for the Ghibli park in Japan just to be on theme 😊
Vicariously living through you rn cuz I injured my handsss and am currently in a crochet ban 😂 God knows how long it'll take but I'm hoping the Dr knows what to do when I go see her next week 🙈
Good news is it doesn't seem to be anything serious, likely just strain injury. The bad news is we don't know how long it will take to heal 😂 I'll be calling a physiotherapist next week
PLEASE please please do an updated crochet bag tour if you can, I'd be very interested in seeing how many things u made since the last projects tour video
Hi Miha, I loved this video and made a messenger bag as well as a little black bag. But mine are so floppy compared to yours. How did you get them to keep their shapes like this please?

that's actually so smart omg thank you for telling me !
wtf thanks lol I never would've thought of that
you are a genius
Wonderful tip
You are a lifesaver. Me and my friends were making brackets and I have now been left with 3 roles of that stuff, hopefully this helps me get rid of it all 🙏
omg.. as someone w adhd, i 100% understand disliking crocheting the same thing over and over 😭 granny squares...? i could NEVER 😭
hahahahah for some reason granny squares are the only ones that get a pass for me 😭 but only the basic granny square design. Anything with intricate twists and turns make me grow impatient lol
i actually found that sunburst granny squares are very stimulating! there’s a lot of different stitches so there’s variety- one time i made a beanie with just hdc and it really tested my adhd lol

Girl same. I can NOT stand granny squares. Adhd girlies 💓 ❤🎉
I relate@@ikoxun

the messenger bag turned out so cute! (also omg an ace pin!) its a perfect video for me rn because i have become obsessed with making bags recently

All of the bags are gorgeous but the ocean bag is so aesthetically pleasing!
I'm an older crochetor and I love the scrap usage plus all the fun things you make. Really brings out my creative " old hippie" vibe.
the spiral is kinda like a surprise for you when u actually reach into the pocket!!! :D
Honestly, I like that the little swirl picture is hidden under the flap on your messenger bag! When I shop for a bag I like when you have little hidden details like these that add personality to a garment or an accessory!
Your channel is helping me so much! As a young crocheter im so glad that there are people that post those helpful videos!❤
Definitely, I started in like 9th or 8th or even 7th grade, I forget it was way before covid tho. and now I’m a senior in highschool. And her videos help a lot, especially with creativity and ideas. Because I get art block sometimes and I need new ideas and I absolutely love her videos
I love how you add crochet details to each bag, it makes them all so unique. wonderful video and use of scrap yarn 👛
I like the star bag most as it’s the most unique
This channel always feels like coming home 😌
ommmggggg that's such a sweet thing to say 😭😭😭😭

All 3 bags are BEAUTIFUL!!!
I'm going to vote:
1- black bag
2- messenger bag
3- ocean bag

I asked my granddaugther to pick one in her favorite color.
I love your simple honesty about the whole process, you are a really refreshing designer!

im so glad your proud of yourself everything turned out beautifully
The bags turned out soooo cute!!! I agree, making things on my own is a lot more fun than following a pattern/tutorial. Also, nice ace pin hehe 💜
I like the messenger bag and the black bag! The ocean bag is still cool too, but I understand the whole being bored of repeating making things.
Its crazy how many times I'm thinking about making something and you post the exact video i need ❤
I love your channel since you're so relatable, I can totally understand how boring it is to have to follow tutorials! I also prefer freehanding cos even though I'm not sure how it'll turn out, I'm always excited to see the outcome 😊

So cute. I have been wanting to make themed bags. This was the inspiration I needed to do my own
a tip for closing the jump rings, i heavily recommend using TWO pliers, it makes it one hundred times easier and its totally worth it!!
Yassss bags finally ( I crochet lots of bags mainly cause there’s no fixed size in my opinion like tops and clothes so there’s more flexibility)
I absolutely love all your videos and you are such a huge inspiration to me not only crocheting and knitting but in everything else. I hope one day im as good as crocheting and knitting as you ❤❤
you're so sweet 😭
I wanted to do a messanger bag as well and now i have a good reference and tutorial jey :D (also THE ACE PIN AHHH from a fellow ace i saw that and it made me really happy to see that today)

Will you taking /using any of these bags to Japan? Your work is amazingly cute. The star bag reminds me of the purple one you also made.
I'll probably bring the messenger bag and the little black shoulder bag! I also wanted to make a crochet bag specifically for the Ghibli park in Japan just to be on theme 😊

As always i love your video and the things you are doing. I just wonder why the instruaction said not to do the transfer thing on the ironing table
Oh and my fav is messenger (?) bag!
it says that the transfer process would mess up since the ironing board isn't a hard enough surface :)
love ur video!!
Hi Miha,
I loved this video and made a messenger bag as well as a little black bag.
But mine are so floppy compared to yours.
How did you get them to keep their shapes like this please?
Great job!
Very cool 😀
