This is another awesome adventure in London with Hannah exploring the city and Grosvenor Square London this is what brightens up my Fridays watching and listening to you have a wonderful weekend and Thank You very much Lady Hannah.🇬🇧🧝♀️👋🇬🇧
Love the lowkey flex of basically saying this place is posh and full of the top 1%, followed by Hannah saying she “doesn’t live too far from here”, you get yours girl. 😂❤
It doesn't necessarily mean anything, because in London wealthy and middle class areas are often in very close proximity to each other. I live less than 5 minutes away from one of the most expensive roads in London, yet I live in a relatively standard middle class home and most of my neighbours would consider themselves as middle class as well.
Hannah you're awesome! I'm sitting here in the cold...my view is of the mountains but it is so nice to sit down with a cuppa on a Saturday morning and watch your videos . It brightens up my day to feel like I ve been somewhere different . As if I were there with you enjoying the local culture and variety of life .Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put it. Its such a pleasure and so much fun to roam the streets with you ! Love love from NZ.
Totally understand when you say you’ve come into your love of architecture “later” in life (I’m 34, we’re still young right?!), one of my favourite things to do in a new place is just walk around and take in the streets/buildings, especially in Europe as the architecture is much older. I love these type of stroll-along videos. Informative and interesting slice of life, and funny cos you’re the one doing them. Really great 👍🏻 keep it up ❤
Grosvenor Square back in the 1800s was lined from one end to the other with large 4 and 5 story houses. There are only 2 left. In your opening shot, there is one of them just to the left. Grosvenor Street looks like what Grosvenor Square used to look like. The square was made to look continental with the newer buildings. Number 38 is one of the original houses on the Square.
@@AngloSaxonVanguard Perhaps the leases had not expired. The reason I know a little bit about this area is because through research I found that my great grandfather was born a stone's throw from here in the 1800s. They were not rich. There were the rich and those who sold goods to them.
LOVE how you added the interior pictures to all the silly expensive real estate. And it can't go without saying, your humor just makes these videos so fun to watch! :-)
Another fun one, thanks Hannah. Love "window-shopping" all the real estate adverts (as a former New Yorker, those prices don't shock me at all). Also like seeing the menus posted to compare offerings and costs. Your several "throw-away" comments throughout the video cracked me up -- great job. Enjoy your lighter load these next few weeks. Cheers!
How lovely London looked today! Yes, the location certainly is posh, but the puffy clouds and sunshine adds so much more to the ambiance! Thank you Hannah for taking us along! Cheers, 💕🇺🇸
Ice in drinks is a totally American thing. I remember when I visited in the late 90’s, my father said he couldn’t wait to get home so he could have as much ice as he wanted. 😂. I laughed at him so hard. He loved everything else about Europe but the lack of ice in his beverage.
I'm American, and *yes* the ice thing is definietly a part of our culture. Here in NYC really nice restaurants might not give out gobs of ice but any fast food or fast casual place will give you a ridiculous amount of ice even if you're in Minnesota in wintertime :/ When I was a teenager and started getting into iced coffee (which often have more ice than coffee), I started telling the barista to go easy on the ice. The amount of dirty looks they give is funny and extrodinary, because they know darn well you're doing it to get more product (anyone would notice a half empty cup).
My 9 and a half years old daughter wanted to try a decaf iced latte from Starbucks, I hate their products so she had never been inside one. She paid for it out of her own pocket, then said that she could make a much better iced latte at home and was really upset that she spent €4,60 on a cup of mostly ice 😂😂😂😂😂. She will NOT be back 😊
Hi Hannah, beautiful day and loved the tour today. Your blouse is so pretty and looks lovely on you! Have a wonderful weekend, cheers from Sunny Arizona🤗
What a gorgeous day! I love that you love architecture and point out so much of it. Americans love lots of ice. Our heat is dreadful and icy drinks are a sensory way to cope.
It’s Friday! That can only mean one thing… Hannah has uploaded a new video!! Can’t wait (commenting before I’ve watched because I know it’ll be another quality video). Literally this is the definitive place to get your London content. Love it. Xx
Another very cool walk around Hannah..nice weather too..Always look forward to Fridays..Those two lions you showed were called Regaire and Ferdenand..from Italian heritage..They were Rulers..Got a kick out of the prices too..See you next time..bye..
My only connection with the Grosvenors, who owns most of Mayfair, is that Hugh Grosvenor's new wife Olivia Henson (the Duke & Duchess of Westminster) used to work for Belazu, a bouji food producer, and after the wedding, which Prince William attended in Chester, their country pile, I found a jar of Belazu pickled lemons in my pantry! Consider my only brush with bouji! 🤣😂😅🍋🍋 I imagine many who live in Mayfair are there as a second, third or fourth home. The rich Arab women leaving the hotels are the usual clientele in that area, look at the cars. Enjoyed the tour! 🫶
Thats a fabulous Tour of the very expensive & Bougie areas 🥰 Wow the prices of those wines, whiskey eek 😂 . Thank you Hannah for taking us a long on this tour was a lot of Fun 😅 . Have a lovely weekend 🥰
This is one of my favourite vlogs from you, I enjoyed hearing about the history of the area. Nice to see you enjoying the good weather at last. The thing holding the outside of the building up is facade retention and is very expensive!!
Great video Hannah !! I too love the architecture around there and it’s super to have you as “our knowledgeable, beautiful guide”. Couldn’t ask for more, LOL. Prices of homes of course always blow my mind, but surprisingly restaurant prices don’t seem too bad. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and see you soon ❤
Another fun Friday walking with Hannah on a tour of the remarkable Grosvenor Square London and it surroundings. Your hilarious comments on the prices of town houses and rentals as well as wine and champagne made me laugh 😂. Thank you for the great video Hannah👍👍👏👏see you next Friday!
Another fantastic vlog walk! I agree with you about Mayfair. Great area to wonder around for a few hours but also more than a little stuffy. Really the Central London sweet spot neighborhood is Marylebone, and especially their High Street. If we could live or stay anywhere in London it would be there. I hope you can revisit there again soon!
Was born in Baker Street corner of Blandford Street after the war,one of the few houses saved and restored thanks to my mother getting it saved as a historical building, therefore the entire block was rescued from destruction ! Us kids went to St. Vincents primary school and St James Spanish Place Church. Chiltern Street and Marylebone High Street our neighbourhood shops.Good to see so much of that Portman Estate preserved. Thankyou Hanna, find myself lol. West One Girl 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Personally, I think ‘Keep(ing) a safe distance’ is always a good idea lol. If you got to meet Bruce I would be SO jealous! Great video-always enjoy your take on everything. Thanks! ❤
I used to work at 7 North Audley street, the building you’re commenting on at 7:20, Hannah. That building, the street, and Grosvenor Square are all much changed. In some ways for the better, but in many ways less so. I am quite happy with Mercato Mayfair…that’s a brilliant repurposing of St. Mark’s Church.
Yes, guilty as charged us 🇺🇸 folks love our ice. The lack of ice was one of the hardest things for me to get used to when I was living in Cambridge. I had my mom ship me ice cube trays for my little frig/freeze for my flat. The only thing in my freezer were ice cube trays! LOL
Hi Hannah this is what I love you doing…architecture and history enjoyed this…would not live here…love my cottage in my village…must tell you as in previous comment my niece’s birthday had a wonderful time at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire with picnic in grounds…this was an idea I got from your Kew vlog take care ❤
I just came across this video and immediately subscribed, you are right up my street. You do what I been thinking of doing recently lol. A really great video/vlog hannah .I really enjoyed it.i really chilled out watching.looks like a very posh area wow!! I really love your video/vlogs .there in London.i love seeing the sights there in London.thank you so much hannah .from Dan.m
Love these walk arounds! A real insight into places to have a wonder around some day. Not sure I’d want to live in that area although a Roger Rabbit Roller (love a bit of alliteration) might change my mind 😂Thx for the video!
Started following you on TH-cam & here in I G Your so fun to watch you are frugal & have good ideas plus you cut some cute jokes I've been enjoying benge watching Your Channel
This might be my favourite video yet. I love Mayfair and if I ever win the lottery will be there! Until then your videos will have to do! Looking forward to next Friday 😊
Really love your vlogs Hannah, informative and fun. Like strolling around with a friend. Imagine picking up one of the really expensive bottles by mistake 😂
VIDEO REQUEST: Magnolia Parks/Daisy Haties are very popular book series, you should go around London touring/reviewing or some sort of interaction with the locations mentioned in the books and maybe while your there mention the scenes attached to the location for the people who haven’t read the books although they are very popular and as a refresher to connect better with the locations :) thx
Thx for the lovely stroll! my feeling is an apt is an apt is an...a lovely home in the country,,,, mellow nature, greener, with a garden, wildlife, ...oh ya! take care, mo from ca

Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics- 🇨🇦the best!❤Hello Bridgerton!😂give me art museums, architecture restaurants and shopping over a beach holiday any day and that is why I❤London!!!
Must admit the Buildings around Grosvenor Square are beautiful. Love your top Hannah. Yes we could all chip in together, not a bad idea. Would have fish n chips there. Way too pricey. Nothing better than a good old fashioned british pub. No I wouldn't live there permanently. Maybe as a second home/flat. Thanks Hannah really enjoyed the walk around. Enjoy the week end.
Loved this video. Love, love the architecture, thanks for showing it Hannah. Yes, I think I could live there if I had the requisite income !! And it was sooo sunny, wow.
Hi Hannah, I think Shepherd Market is probably the only part of Mayfair with any real community spirit, it’s a charming little area. The late racing driver Stirling Moss bought some land there at a bargain price many years ago, and built a house to his own futuristic specifications. With lots of electrical installations which were ahead of their time.
Another fantastic video which wouldn't be the same without your chatting ! it makes the stroll with you alive and real as if I was there. I absolutely love central London but my heart is west of Sloane Street, Cadogan place, Lennox gardens. London has this marvellous quality of being a capital with totally quiet and country like quiet back streets. Love, love, love London. Thanks for showing how exciting it is.
Loved all your latest videos inc different flavoured ice cream 😅, parks, architecture in London and M&M ( had a great experience in there with my bag filled to much with M&M ). Loved the meal with your sister, looking forward to Friday’s video and please stay safe ( resent stabbing in Leicester Square). On a more positive note what have you got lined up for us ( museums, shops etc). Don’t forget stay witty and safe ❤
Hannah 🎉 as a now iconic TH-camr, I’m good for 100.000 £ on a 5 bedroom flat 😂. If I was going to spend that kind of money, I’d move to the Cotswolds and rail to London. Great fun and yes Americans love ice ❤
Love your vlogs. Your positive energy is so welcomed and needed. Through yours eyes we see the beauty and grace of London. Well done. Keep safe and take care. Looking forward to next week. 😊
I enjoy your vlogs and seeing London but I could never live there, even if I could afford this area. If I won the lottery I would buy a house in the countryside with no neighbours
@@clareking4434I love noise and atmosphere. I feed off the energy. Endless entertainment. You don’t like theatre, sport, restaurants? Nothing worse than an awful gloomy climate and nothing to do. Countryside wirh grey clouds is depressing. All about the buzz , then bugger off to second home in northern ibiza!
Cara ci avrei giurato come al solito un'altro bel video. Finalmente abbigliamento estivo, sei unica. Abbronzati un po'. Buona settimana. Hannah. 🌞🌞🌞👑👑👑💐💐🇮🇹
Hey Hannah, Happy Friday! 😊Thanks for another fantastic vlog-always a joy to watch. I really appreciate how you keep things fresh and interesting! I have to say, the housing prices are truly shocking. It’s crazy how much more expensive London is compared to cities like DC, NY, or LA. For instance, as you mentioned, a house priced at £20M is around $25.5M. Living in the States seems so much more reasonable! I’d be comfortable spending between $2.5M and $4M in a great area on a spacious house with 9 bedrooms, 7 or 8 bathrooms, and a nice yard. But $25.5M for a townhouse without any yard space? That just doesn’t seem worth it to me. You should feel at home in your house, and if you’re spending a lot of money, it should be on something truly worthwhile. Just my two cents! Hope you have a wonderful Friday night and an amazing weekend! 💐🇬🇧❤🇺🇸💐
Depends on where you are in the States. Here in South Florida, from Miami-Dade County up through Broward County/Ft. Lauderdale and then to Palm Beach County, $20M properties are not uncommon, from nice houses with beautiful yards to condos in highrises with no yards at all. The same little 3/2 houses from the 50s and 60s that cost $50K when I was growing up are frequently $2.5M and up now. I am just as likely to find myself behind a Lamborghini or a Maserati at a red light as any other make of vehicle. Soccer moms drive Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche SUVs. Teslas are downright commonplace.
Hannah… many thanks for the summer walkabout in Mayfair. Many memories. And the next time I’m there, I’m going into Hedonism Wine. OMG what a place! I love your channel. Thank you, Peter USA

And imagine not really liking it! 🤭
Thanks for the video Hannah, I loved it, I’m going to try that pub👍xx
Thx for the lovely stroll! my feeling is an apt is an apt is an...a lovely home in the country,,,, mellow nature, greener, with a garden, wildlife, ...oh ya! take care, mo from ca
OMG when you said "...not from experience, ok, that might be from experience." about the parking ticket that cracked me up.
Love all the little pots of lavender on the picnic tables in the fanzone- so 🇬🇧!!! Yes hosting the Olympics is absolutely amazing!!
Interesting content. Keep up the good work on your channel. Regards, WR4K.
Expensive road..i suddenly pictured Hannah drifting in one of those cars pictured in the thumbnail 😁
I would love to live in Grosvenor Square or Mayfair. But then I think I may have read a few too many Regency Romance books. 😁😁
As an American, i love iced drinks. Enjoyed the video. Lovely buildings. Much out of my budget. Thanks for sharing.😊
Beautiful architecture. 😊
Love your style, v funny and engaging
Absolutely stunning buildings ❤❤❤I really could live there no bother...small problem no money 😂😂😂😂😂 thanks again Hannah for another great video ❤❤❤
Hannah 🎉 as a now iconic TH-camr, I’m good for 100.000 £ on a 5 bedroom flat 😂. If I was going to spend that kind of money, I’d move to the Cotswolds and rail to London. Great fun and yes Americans love ice ❤
I bet you could get a gorgeous place in the Cotswolds with that kind of money and a decent amount of land, too.
Yes more ice in coffee the better ❤probably 3/4 ICE and 1part coffee 😂great video as always Hannah 😊have a lovely weekend
I love your vibe! Thanks so much for making these videos. You make me happy!
Me too!
Absolutely, why pay that money to live in the noise, no view etc. Give me a view any day.
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez I have the best of both worlds. I live a 10 minute train ride from two great cities and I’m 30 mins away from an airport.
👍👍👍
This was wonderful Hannah , thank you and so lovely to see how the other half lives 😊❤
Hi Hannah! I just booked The Ivy Asia afternoon tea through their website.😃
Thanks, Hannah! You keep coming up with the most interesting things to share with us.
Thanks for watching!
Hannah… many thanks for the summer walkabout in Mayfair. Many memories. And the next time I’m there, I’m going into Hedonism Wine. OMG what a place!
I love your channel.
Thank you,
Peter
USA
Thanks Hannah - I love a wee walk round the posh parts of London with you. I’m going next Sunday fr 2 nights - connected to Taylor Swift….
Nice video Hannah as per usual, very enjoyable!
I really really love your vlogs and your voice is so soothing !! Love love love !!!
Def agree on the fish and chips. Needs to be in a chippy and out of newspaper. Do they still do that?! Money definitely doesn't buy quality. 🤣🤣
Another fab vlog Hannah ty
Hannah, your strolls around London always remind me that London is such a beautiful city. Something we forget because we all vacation abroad so much.
