There is an edit error in the video, I though of reuploading but since it's been up for more than a few hours I decided to leave it in, sorry for not noticing 😢
I need to watch still the previous video, but I am playing the MD and the Saturn version frequently and it is kinda odd seeing all the characters here, like the fish, the foot guy, the flea and such with this art style. Also, Arle Zuvi, the new host, seems very cheerful!
This game looks hella fun. Stinks thats it only came out in Japan, or more so that I don't know how to speak and read Japanese. Glad you post gameplay of these cool games so I can at least see them. P.S. I always enjoy your neat cosplay in your videos.
Wow, I never realized how much Madou Monogatari is like Shin Megami Tensei. Not just because they're both old school dungeon crawlers, but because both games are more well known for their spinoff franchises, Puyo Puyo and Persona lol xD Also, really love the Arle cosplay!! Your cat is just like Carbuncle~!! >w
I was waitin' for the next episode. This episode looks a bit more creepy compared to the others, and I mean much creepier. Eyes being gagued out (I hate anything that involves sharp things and eyes), brains being sucked out of one of the shopkeepers, sweet Jesus. I am also glad you explained the thing with the ice guy and the gas room exploding. Sometimes I would blindly watch gameplay and see the player get a game over in one move. It confused me greatly. That's what I get for not trying to learn Japanese... I cannot blame you for being a bit spooped by the fish tho. It looks like a bunch of holes with it's gang. Trypophobia is a weird thing, but I cannot say much because I suffer from leech-phobia. Otherwise, noice review, noice Arle cosplay, noice end to the trilogy of creepiness. And as the incubus would say, _"OH MAH GOD!"_ Now to blast that creepy title music. :D
always cool to see PC-98 games. i always love the graphics and music in alot of those games and this game does look like a nice dungeon crawler. i believe there is a translation of the master system version
The Game Gear port of the 3rd game is veeeery different: the plot differs a lot, there are somewhat different monsters in places, and the dungeons are also quite different. I suggest you look up the differences, they go quite deep (for instance, Minotaur is just the 3 boss or so). Also, the monster designs etc. are much closer to Puyo Puyo than in this version. I think that the Game Gear ports will be translated into English eventually, since there's been some interest in that platform lately! Shame PC-98 is so darn obscure in the West, the designs are always top-notch...
The art style of this one is quite jarring if you're used to Puyo Puyo, and some of the other console Madou Monogatari's (lets face it, Arle is at her best when she's cute). They definitely went with a dark style for the PC 98 game, glad that didn't carry over to Puyo Puyo, or the MM games on other consoles. Though Puyo Puyo~n did feature an older Arle, and I wasn't bothered by it, and hope to one day own the PS1 version, as well as the GBC version (these two, and the GBC Sun are all I need left to complete a Puyo Puyo set for every console I have that has the series on it that isn't modern, I have 8 versions of Tsuu alone). I'm a sucker for the retro games, because I grew up in the era from the Atari 2600, to what we have now. But what we have now, I do not like, nor do I care for the redesigns of the Puyo characters.
Agreed, Game Gear ports come the closest to the Puyo Puyo designs from what I've seen so far, though I have to say that I like the PC-98 port's OST the most.
Junji Ito's Gyo has fish with legs, with your phobia, you could read that to win over it. Just found an emulator and english fan translation, but also fan translation and games were released on game gear, so I'll play with my pocket go emulator (mini handheld). YAY!
Madou Monogatari I and Madou Monogatari Honoo No Sotsuenji have English fan translations as far as I know. Many others have fan translations that can easily be played on a computer Madou Monogatari Hanamaru Dai Youchienji might also have a fan translation

your cosplay are pretty cool, love it. otherwise there are not many videos of mado monogatari series in english thanks for your vid
Thanks for watching

The foot guy 😂

Alternate title: "Arle Nadja's game being played by a woman who looks like Arle Nadja"
4:13: Suddenly, cat.
FINALLY, I've been waiting for this!! Thank you for making my day! Shoutouts from Brazil! (again) :D

4:10- Enter Carbuncle. :3
Your Arle cosplay is great! I’ve heard about madou monogatari from a friend in Japan, and I might try it sometime, maybe not the pc 98 version
Hey it was well worth the wait. Thanks Zuvi!
The zombie fish resembles the fish (I'm assuming it's a carp) for the title screen in Madou Monogatari 1 for the MSX2.
I was waitin' for the next episode.

Noice comment
And now you're learning internet language...
Only the PC-98 version is dark. The rest is thankfully not dark
Hey... that flea that has the arrow pointing to it is in puyo puyo two for the super famicon! at 7:55
Rejoice! The third part is here!
Fantastic cosplay BTW.

Congrats on finishing the trilogy!
thanks 😁
Please do ARS next!
You win a sub i like your videos and Puyo Puyo origins
Aren't there numbers in the menus
No way you’re the real life Arle
You play a lot of retro games which is awesome. Do you also play modern games? If you do, roughly what percentage is modern/retro, if not, why not?
80 modern 20 retro. I usually only play rpgs and old rpgs are very tedious. Right now I'm playing Mario kart 8 and breath of the wild 😁

Did you develop a bit of an American accent over the time it took to complete this game? You sound significantly more American in this video
Maybe, since I've been talking more on my videos since I started 😅

@@mariusamber3237 The PC98 ports have some great use of FM Synth, like pretty much everything else on that PC.
Suscribed! Loved your videos on Madou Monogatari and I can't wait for you to comment ARS
i didnt know lilu from fifth element reviewed videogames...
Your cosplay of Arle. ❤️
You looked sweet and cute in Arle’s wearings❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
That looks like a perfect game, but the console and the language is a barrier for me.

That wasn't harpy or witch, or any character from puyo puyo with most of the modern designs, this pc-98 version sucks at character design.
Dark Prince/Satan,All the dragons, Suketoudra,Schezo and Arle look fairly good imo.

So, agreement or disagreement?
@@zzzszxc3285 disagreement...
I’m guessing you prefer childish characters than detailed characters then?
I’m alright if you disagree.
