The banjo was actually an African instrument , that slowly transformed, from different cultures using different materials. And made its way to the America’s around the 19th century . And this dude actually shreds , most people couldn’t pick up a banjo to save their lives so kudos to him. This video makes me so happy idk why’d you’d wanna cry lol
The hillbilly who warned me hours before "not to go wandering around in the woods" while I am getting gutted by an eldritch horror beyond human comprehension in the Appalachias:
Ya seen something say he travels I just got my banjo an found him earlier cause I'm looking up videos now haha I live where they do merlefest. Be cool to run into this dude sometime.
Same here except mine came to hills of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. My wife's people did the same. She can trace her ancestors back to the Jamestown Colony on her father's side. My wife is the first generation born outside of the mountains of South Carolina. She's still a hillbilly though we live in the foothills and Piedmont section of the state now. I'm the second generation out of the mountains of Georgia and Tennessee.
That was creative, fun, and down right impressive!!! Love how natural you can work your strums in, adds that extra kick! I’m a 2yr banjo player and you’re a great source of inspiration! Shit is rad! Thanks!
Thank you brother! After a moderately shitty day I saw you for the first time. The first seconds you made me laugh, in the middle little tear dissapear, at the end i'll keep my smile and push the play again! You are NUMERO UNO, thanks to your efforts I am encouraged number 2 ;) The music shall be with you, always!
That's BOSS BANJO, almost on the level of the late, great Roy Clark; and just being compared with him is a complement, but this dude raises the bar for comparisons!!!
Dude I've been playing the guitar and ukulele for awhileeee but after seeing you shreddd I just ordered my first banjo; and going to practice a fuck ton just so I can rock like you that was the most amazing beautiful thing. People might disagree with me but you did it better then that movie!! And by your fucking self
I asked for a banjo for my birthday this year. I have been wanting one for quite a while now. I can't wait to learn how to play it! Imagine a first generation Mexican American Women playing the banjo wearing a professional suit. Love it
This is one of the most American videos I have laid my eyes on, I'm fighting back tears.
Voltic beer, weed or a cig and a banjo hell yeah it sure does sound american
It's okay, bud. Let em out!

I was watching another video at 1.5x speed before this. I damn near spat my coffee onto my phone when I saw I’d already set it back to normal.
I was about to click on another video then heard him say “I might be a little fucked up”. I stayed and don’t regret it.
