- The ongoing farmers’ protest in Punjab is just the latest in the history of such agitations as since 2017, several farmer unions have made their way to Delhi to highlight their demands or to lodge protests on various issues.
On at least six occasions since 2017, farmers have protested in Delhi at Jantar Mantar, Ramlila Maidan and Sansad Marg, raising several demands, with some like Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops and debt waivers being a constant.
The main demands of Farmers in this protest are Legal MSP, India’s withdrawal from WTO, Repealing of Land Acquisition Amendment Act 2015, Pension to Farmers etc. tWe have tried to present both sides of the story to keep you informed in an unbiased manner on the full story of Farmers Protest. M S Swaminathan Committee and its Recommendations and MSP formula have also been discussed in the video.

जी नमस्कार,आप दोनों को बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद जो सही और बहुत ही सच्चाई के साथ आप किसानों की समस्याओं को सरकार के सामने बखूबी से रख रहे हैं लेकिन सरकार किसानों को कुचलने, खत्म करने की राह पर चल रही है। और आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट की बात भी सरकार नहीं मानना चाहती किसानों को दिल्ली भी नहीं जाने दिया जा रहा जो सभी का अधिकार है, किसान अपनी फसल का उचित मूल्य और m s p लेकर ही जाएंगे क्योंकि इसके बिना किसान का जिंदा रह पाना मुश्किल है मोदी सरकार होश खो बैठी है इसे सिर्फ अडानी अंबानी को सब कुछ बेचने के लिए जनता ने नहीं चुना था ये किसानों के साथ धोखा है।और हर दिन किसानों पर बर्बरतापूर्ण हमले किये जा रहें हैं । मोदीजी ने संविधान की भी धज्जियां उड़ाई है सुप्रीम कोर्ट की अवमानना की जा रही है।

The only difference with him is that we shouldn't make it industry vs Farming. Both are growth engines.

Fine presentation of two stalwarts from RMSB and Sainik school. As from RMSB I wish to add that in Haryana and Punjab the agricultural marketing is robust and Agricultural Marketing Boards are very active . Where as in states like Bihar such board has been abolished and farmers are at the mercy of private operators.
So they need to speak up...haryana punjab people always have been ready to sacrifice...

Being a educated farmer myself I suggest that only solution to this farmers agitation is that our farming community make their own companies to process their agricultural produce without sending their produce to markets or be at the mercy of trading community. Farming community make their own marketing Associations for procurements to sell processed products on pattern of Amul milk cooperatives.

I think this is one of the best 'Life Time' discussion I have ever seen on TH-cam. You both seemed to be at your best. Knowledge of Sharma ji on subject is outstanding and his expression was clear, crisp, straight forward and to the point. His view point is undoubtedly based on his years of research and ground realities which he seemed to have personally experienced.
General Sahab you have been a GEN, when in service however, in reality, I think you have been a GEM on the field but trust me even after retirement you will ever remain a GEM 'off the field' too, for the rest of your life.

Very nice and comprehensive discussion to justify kisan andolan. In this regard one very very important issue is missing as income is taken as base which is completely wrong because real issue is profit gained by farmers which he can.use for his own need.Resultantly most of crops raising are non profitable and with negetive profit.Hence real issue is profit of farmers are for their need.
