- Experience the unique Dory fishery in Nestucca Bay near Pacific City, OR. Learn Rockfish & Lingcod techniques with Marshal Stickrod of Stickrod's Bait & Tackle and Haibin Wang of Fish Field. There are no boat launches near this part of the Oregon Coast so launching the flat bottom Dories off the beach is the way to go.

Thanks everyone. I do plan on doing another Dory show. I'll be better prepared. I actually never thought about how they get back on the beach. First time for me.

@Marrowbones dunno hpw often they redo them but it's all fiberglass on the bottoms

There is one big problem at Pacific City when you launch your boat from the beach. Or when you're coming back in. Pacific City is a popular place for surfing. And a few years ago. A Dory boat was coming in. The captain didn't see the people surfing. He plowed into a surfer cutting off his arm.
They're are markers up that tell boat operators where they need to come in at. And surfers are told to stay out of the area marked off for the boats. But this boat operator decided to take a short cut. Be safe out there. One mistake can ruin a perfect day fishing.
I use the big eye red jig and I caught two nice size Salmon grouper and the Fish Field jigs works great
So, what are the limits out there for Blackrocks and Ling?
