Justin i was thinking about getting the water wolf camera for researching my brads superbait salmon rig. Can you tell me if that is a good camera choice for that style of fishing?? Or the pros and cons of the water wolf.
Please give me more information on the tools and techniques that you are using to release the fish safely. I love to fish and don't keep them all. I would love to release the fish safely if I don't want to keep them.
I was always under the presumption that when a bladder of a fish has blown . when hooked from a deep depth . its basically a Gonner . Why release it when its bladder was blown and clearly visable ..
If the fish are returned to pressure using a descending devise they have an excellent chance of survival. There have been several studies and releasing this way is now required by law in some states.
@@colintraveller ODFW has done study's on this already. They have a higher chance of surviving when they are released at depth. You should look up the study also.
MHO if you use bigger bait you won’t hook up the rock fish as much, less wasting time not fishing using the descender (unless this is a promotion vid) .. !6oz jig 8” grub!
Awesome captain! You can really tell he knows alot about these fish and enjoys teaching people. Definitely a guy I would like to fish with. Good job!
I have barfed off the side of that boat. Great guy to fish with.

Why can’t you keep the yellow eye ,and tiger fish ?
Seven months late but it's bc there prohibited bc they aren't common so in an effort to preserve them and make them more common we can't keep them
