It was the first coaster I watched being built from concept to opening day as a 8/9 year old enthusiast. It’s the ride that started it all for me - It will always have a special place 💚🤎
When you're there you don't really see any of the track either. You can see the uphill lift and then the track going into the building at the top but that's the same building where the station is. So it genuinely makes you wonder where the drop actually is
Me and my mom went on this today and it is one of our FAVS in the whole park! The first drop is MAD and when the floor dropped we screamed and laughed our heads of! And we were at the back! Honestly if you want a good experience for the first drop, really recommend going at the very back! This ride is a masterpiece and I personally LOVE it!
I can't get to amusement parks, anymore, so videos like this are as close as I can come to rollercoasters. I tell you, I still feel the thrill in my neck & back of my head when the train drops down that first slope! With my disabilities, I doubt that I'd be able to ride one in the future. I was always drawn to the more tame rides: wooden coasters with no loops. I loved the racer at Paramount's Kings Island! I always rode in the cars facing forward. I'd be saying: "Oh God, oh God, oh God" on the way up that first hill, then screaming in excitement the rest of the ride. Thank you to content creators like you, who let people like me enjoy these rides!
This ride was so fun! It was an hour wait but worth it. I didn’t know there was a drop at the end. When it went down a small bit, I thought it was over but no! It dropped again. Honestly its fantastic!!
Was just at Alton Towers 2 days ago, for the 1st time, with no idea what this ride was. Straight off the back of Wicker Man, initial impression was "this os ok, but a bit slow", then into the creepy crypt, then the drop, then backwards...honestly, came off the ride blown away. Took me by complete surprise, and was one of the highlights of the day.
Looking at the track switching, this could open up some amazing doors for rollercoasters. If you had the space for more than two tracks, the riders would never know which route they were going to take if it were random, or the other option would be there could be a vote panel for the riders to select at the early part of the ride for a totally new roller coaster experience.
Rode this for the first time a couple months back. Then 10 minutes later a second time, and 30 minutes later a third time. I’m terrified of rollercoasters, but this? LOVE it.
It’s a great ride for first timers that is for sure, especially when they don’t know what to expect from it and that drop in particular is a massive surprise. However, besides that, there isn’t much to it after that because you know what to expect and it therefore ruins the whole experience. I guess some rides are made for one of experience such like Oblivion and that is a ride you tend to go on first to wake yourself up and don’t feel the point of going on it again on your visit, whereas rides like The Smiler and of course Nemesis you really don’t mind going on again and again and you never get bored of it because they have life to them. It will be interesting to know what the new ride will be since they are extending Alton Towers and I hope it is a ride that you want to go on again and again and never grow tired of.
Honestly addicted to Ride POV channels lately. Yours is very well done. Subscribed. Also to answer your question: 13 would be a must ride for me as if I ever get to Alton Towers, I don’t know if I’ll ever get to go again.
I went on this last month, and this one is probably my favourite because it has so many parts you wouldn't expect to happen. That curtain made me think we'd go through, but the sudden drop scared the hell out of me. The way it then proceeds to shoot up backwards was very unexpected, especially when facing the other way from daylight, which I loved.
I've literally been on Thirteen like 7 times, front and back but somehow always miss that electric thingy that happens before you go backwards. Where actually is it?
If you are referring to the tesla coil, that's in the queue before you head down the stairs into the station. It's easy to miss the big buzz if you pass the room before the countdown ends.
I rode this about a week after it opened and knew nothing about the ride so that drop was a shock. But even when you know its coming, it still hits you
Thirteen is one of my top three rides at towers having rid all of the rides in the park. The theming is absolutely insane whilst still being a family ride, the first drop is just so smooth and nice, the queue line is so good, I love the idear of dropping down like it’s broken then going backwards it’s just amazing in my opinion
Th13teen is my second favourite at Alton Towers after The Smiler, the drop always gets me and the speed makes me hold the lap bar for dear life😂 If your at Alton Towers after 10, start at Dark Forest because Th13teen and Rita are 10-15 minute wait times, after you get off them they’re like 40-60 so it’s good to start there The bummer is that it closes if it rains, idk if it still does but it was closing every time it rained one time I was at the towers so I only got to ride it once that day
Let me tell you, this ride stole my SOUL!! You think the worst part is the drop at the start...oh no, it's the drop 2×levels then going backwards IN THE DARK!!!!
I love this ride I went yesterday and it was so fun. In my opinion, less rackety than Wicker man, I went on wicker man and it literally threw my head back like Rita, and when the first drop yknow, drops, it tricks you into thinking that you are standing up. Lovely ride Th13teen. When I was in the queue, the smiler takeover thing spoke and that literally gave me a fright. It did it aswell with the Wicker man. Overall I absolute top recommend this and is my unbeatable favourite.

I remember when I first went on this. About 8 I think. I thought it was just a generic coaster. In the queue I got a little creeped out by the theming but just thought it had a semi creepy woods theme. I go in. Go onto the main section of the ride and have fun. This ride is amazing! I usually don't do roller coasters because of a heart condition I've got. I rode this because it was branded as "family coaster" and maybe it might be for those who usually ride more intense coasters. But I have to say, it was a lot of fun but also quite intense! Not sure it's an actually family one haha Initially I was more worried about (SPOILERS AHEAD) the vertical drop. But that isn't actually bad at all, it's fun! What actually got me, was the first drop, that is intense and also very long! All in all, an amazing ride that helped me to push a bit the boundaries of what I can and cannot do. This is probably as far as I can get away with my heart condition and I really enjoyed it!

I love these types of coasters that run through forested areas.
