for everyone complaining in the comments this ride is wayyyy better in person than on video, trust me on this.
Half the best effects on this ride aren't even picked up in this video for some reason.
The same goes for Gangsta Granny: the ride.
was there yesterday, loved it... I loved all the smells and Emily taunting you on the ride and the she smashes through the house at the end
The bit where the girl is riding on her own in the mirror is a cool touch! They have done well with reinventing his ride. The part where you queue to get on the ride as you enter the house is well thought out too!
shut my eyes the whole way on the ride, opened it at the end where they took the pic and I was screaming my head off. kid behind me was giggling the whole ride 🤘🤘
rides are always better when girls are screaming, it adds to the experience lol...

Nice to see haunted house rides make a comeback! The original was fantastic, then they made all of them in to boring laser tag rides. If Chessington bring back the terror tomb I'd be chuffed.

A lot of people miss it (I certainly did on the first few rides) but in the mirror corridor scene at 3:42 (used to be the room with the electric shock guy) just watch the mirrors on the right you'll see your reflection then there's a replica ride vehicle with just Emily in the vehicle making you think she's riding with you! Such an amazing effect!
I'm gonna go alton towers so ima go on it and see 😂

I know right? Its just blatant ignorance. There are signs and announcements clearly saying it is not allowed. Yet this person decided to do it anyway. Its disrespectful, they only do it for the likes and views its disgusting behaviour.

yeah it was, but that was 30 years ago, now we have a much better main villain in Emily alton as she chases you through the house, and its amazing....
They have new heads of the spirit that has possessed Emily flying around as well as a projection that was added after this was filmed

What a yawnfest, say “ThiS rIdE Is GReAt In pErsoN” all you want, it’s still boring. Prime example that Merlin are not a creative company or have any interest in being one. Apart from the story narration at the beginning, this feels like some carnie ghost train at a travelling fair. All you in the comments blowing smoke up their backside about how good this ride is are setting the bar extremely low for the uk.

Not the same when I went on it
People are not scared by glorified ghost trains any more, however lavishly dressed up they are. They want higher and faster and scarier roller coasters. People go to Alton Towers for white knuckle rides. This isn't one of them.
Tell that to the insanely long lines this Ride got all year
