Saw them in 1988 in Roanoke Virginia where I was attending college. Got to meet them backstage and take pictures. Top notch guys who really brought the feeling of the Beatles. God Bless you guys.
I have seen 1964 The Tribute o 5 times already, twice when Gary Grimes was alive & was playing Sir Paul. Truly 1964 is one of the best Beatle Tribute Bands on earth & I miss my dear special friend Gary Grimes(Sir Paul. Hew was an amazing musician & a Sir Paul look-alike-sound alike. RIP my special & dear friend, see you in heaven one day Gary. I love this song, thanks for up loading it. Peace Always: Critty200
I just saw them (30 Nov 21040 with son in Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Brought Back old memories of when I saw The Bealtes in London in 1963 before I met my now deceased husband. He chose this record himself to be played at his funeral just for me.
i think it was a keyboard originally or am i mistaken.....also by your use of the word "tho " i can guess you are about age 22-28....Am I right ? hahah
+Halliday7895 Correct I am 27, but I have loved the Beatles since I was 5. I have also seen this band a number of times, and yes, it was originally a piano solo.
Interesting fact: the keyboard solo in the original song was recorded then sped up for the studio release, because no one was able to play it in real time up to speed
Frankenscuzz actually it was because John had left in an instrumental bridge but didn’t know what to do with it, so he ended up asking George Martin to play a “baroque-sounding” solo. So George wrote just that, but ended up realizing he couldn’t play that solo in real time. This is why he recorded it at half speed.
was that guitar solo originally a keyboard solo on the record? i was thinking i wonder if pull did that solo on the record bc it was more complex thank George harrison was used to doing...paul often redid parts bc he was a visionary/ self-centered jerk control freak lol i still think paul is the man but i think its un cool of him to openly play other members parts without their consideration....i don't know bc i wasn't there but maybe it was more mutual i know ringo didn't like it ....the solo was probably on keyboard done by a studio musician hired....i can't find the original right now...its on my other computer thats not set up...and heres no original versions on youtube
Producer George Martin played the solo on a piano at half speed and an octave lower. Then when it was sped back up to normal speed it sounded somewhat like a harpsichord.
Lovely song I plan on having it sung at my funeral. Christine Klinger
These are with out doubt the best
That guitar Lead version is very sweet
Agreed! Definitely a different spin on a great song!
wow.. I found myself listening to this song over and over again.

Awesome guitar solo here to replace George Martin's piano. That would have even sounded pretty good on the original....

Loved the solo!! So good! My favorite Beatles song. Well done!
An absolute gem of a song.
Great version, well done.
What a stuffy laid back audience, when they play here people love these guys and show some response.
RIP, Garry...........
@Random K Set Gary Grimes is the bass player (Paul) he died from brain cancer in 2010.
The best solo!!!
I'm gonna go see them! Yay!

Liked the complex little guitar solo!

FALTOU O PIANO DE GEORGE MARTIN..SOBERBO E MARAVILHOSO.
George Harrison became George Martin on the harpsichord and John Lennon counterpointed with George, incredible these two lead guitars.
I always play nice

I mean technically Paul isn't playing George's parts because once he played them they were Paul's parts... Y'know
Should have had a pianist play the solo as George Martin did in the studio version.

John sounds better on this one. They only sound close when 2 or more are singing.
What about Bob's life? You know, they guy they ripped off.
I hate tribute bands!!
Then take your whiny ass somewhere else.
And you had to tell everyone why?
Yet here you are.
