Hi, I have a 2008 w204 c300 with a lot of mileages. When my engine goes, I plan on putting a same year 3.5 instead of the 3.0. Now I will get the 3.5 engine with its original ecu, is it as simple as putting the old 3.5 ecu in and coding it to my existing 3.0 L vin and everything should work like it did with extra power ?

after flashing ecu I know that SCN coding required, unfortunately I dont have online access and I cant manually code SCN. Also Id flash it in vediamo, no need in das offline
eduardo andrade you need go to auto repair shop who ever have Autel MS908S pro .. this unit can coding or program or Mercedess dealer . If your car had Accindent . You also changed front bumper sensor , Secondary Battery, Air bag control module otherwise program or coding will not work

No, ECU will have the donor information so car will not start. And you can not do that with SDS.

No. You can not use an old one off another car as it's married to that car. You would need special tools and software to make the changes you seek.

SDS can program new shifter, but if it's used then you can not. it's married to the donor car. You would need other tools to correct it.

Diagnostic tech I replaced it with a used one and need to reprogram it. it reads thr old vin#
so if you use old part you need renew by tool MB Speed or VVDI2.
