I also came up with an undead elf skylander with an intresting backstory she started out as a normal fiesty elf, who gave herself the goal, to challenge and defeat the mightiest brawler of every element but when it was time to challenge the undead element, she needed to travel to the deepest and most dangerous parts of the undead realm so she got herself a guide (a skeleton dragon), and as they traveled, they became close friends but as they went deeper, her life energy got drained more and more, but she stuck to her goal, and eventually challenged the undead brawling champion and she lost, so much so that her body was beyond repair (combined with her still draining life energy) so her guide turned close friend, decided to heal her, by becoming part of her skeleton after returning to the suface, now going by the name Punch Crunch they were found by a group of undead Skylanders, who were about to enter for a resque mission, but seeing the determination of Punch and the kindness of Crunch they officially joined the Skylanders
I love the lore of Fright Rider as well. Like, it shows how close the two of them are, one of them was brave enough to venture into the literal underworld just to save their best friend. It sucks that someone was so jealous that they turned Ryder undead but at least he has his trusty ostrich by his side.
While I don't think the commercials are necessarily canon, the funniest fact about Flameslinger, revealed in the one for Giants, is that he wears ANOTHER blinfold under his blindfold Peak
The fan-made 7th game, Skylanders dungeon Heroes, had a bunch of Skylanders based on other races and enemies found in the series, in order to flesh out their characters. Rocket chomper is a chompy, Beast Blaster is a mabu, spyclops is a cyclops, and etc. their dark core is even a goblin, similar to lob Goblin.
Fright rider’s backstory really reminds me of Greek myth where people go to the underworld to save friends. The skylands underworld sure is odd in its own way though.

Hex is without a doubt my favorite of the skylanders. I loved the dark mysterious stereotype back in the day (which was 2013) and hex was my favorite to play as in Spyro’s adventure and Giants. (Didn’t have the others since the Wii didn’t support them.) Her sightless white eyes and her ebony black gown made her stand out so much that I originally thought she was a vampire…. Till the actual vampire was made.
Would be interesting if you went into the lore of the Kaos family including the various retcons and Netflix continuity. I also want to know more about the background of the trolls especially after Boney Islands lore indicates they were once human beings.
