after you make these changes do they save to the drone? so that they are SET for when you want to fly the drone without using a phone or controller? OR are the settings changes only on the app?
Is there a way to use the controller to set the drone up with a fixed ISO/WB/Sharpness, but then have it use those settings with the automated flight? (Ex. follow mode)
Really great video, my friend. The hover option on the signal lost can be useful if you are flying indoors, so the drone doesn't hit stuff trying to RTH.
Hi Rob, one question: if I change the settings of the Neo on my controller will they stay saved when using the drone with my phone or the buttons or it reverts to the defaults settings?
Thanks very much for the useful video and all the work you put in to make it. I’m finding that I cannot take photos in 4:3 when using manual control in the phone app. Even though the settings in the phone app are set to 4:3, the resulting photos are 16:9. When I use a controller (NC3 or RC2), I can set the ratio as 4:3 and that is what the resulting photos are; but whenever I go back to manual control on the phone the photos are in 16:9 (which also means they are 9 megapixels, not 12). Have you found that, or am I making some kind of mistake? Thanks again. UPDATE: Please ignore all of the above! The Fly app has been updated this morning and the glitch has been removed. For clarity, using the Neo with only my iPhone and the app on Manual mode, setting photos to 4:3 now does produce 12 megapixel 4:3 images.

Thats what you use the zebras for and the histogram. Combine that and set the shutterspeed so the highs and lows aren’t clipping👌 some zebras can be visible in the of course as long as its not completely covered. But less is better
Just got the RM 330 thinking it was compatible with the NEO....argghh I wish DJI had been more specific as its not easy telling these various remote controllers apart...
Have you ever tried max range using RC2? I know, it sounds silly since it is a tiny drone with small battery, however, since I don't have RC2, I have mini Pro 3 with RC1, I am curious if it is okay to invest in RC2 for Neo exclusively. I tried with the app in the phone, and it doesn't fly that far.
I bought the Combo, i.e. with RC-N3 but haven't tried flying far. But as I've understood it, it's the battery time that will limit it. It's supposed to be able to transmit video 10 km.
I saw another video mentioning about the wifi range of 50m max. Since it connects to our phone or N3 controller through wifi, how could we control the neo more than 50m?
@ajaybangi on the controller connection it uses ocusync the mobile control of the neo is very restricted I'm having fun via fpv at moment end up ordering a 4th battery I belive there's a modded battery being made as we speak also
Strangely there is no 25 FPS setting for us european users. Also no RAW/DNG photo option. I got one because of the hype/price/size, but it's mostly a toy.
Or, as it is always with software development, they wanted to add it, but the programmers had not enough time. I think that's also the reason why it was delayed in the first place. As it was suppose to launch at the 28. of August.
For some reason, if you live in the US, and only in the US, the Fly More Combo does not ship with the controller. I live in New York City, so that means I need to spend extra money just to be able to make some of the settings changes you recommend to improve the already disappointing footage. My son traveled to Norway yesterday to visit family, and I am debating having him pick up the Neo for me just so i can get the controller in the bundle. I'm not sure why DJI made this decision. As a result, I am struggling to justify picking up the Neo at this time. I might sit this version out because of these choices. Or at least until they push out a possible firmware update.

I believe that DJI will solve many issues on the next update. Hopefully increase Bitrate from 75 to 100 Mbps and improve image quality.
Which controller would you recommend? Looking into getting one and then moving on to the goggles in the future.
Hi l just got my dji neo drone and it's only recording very short clips. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks in advance Tony.
Can you make a cheat sheet for this one or any new stuff you review?

@@RobHK Bummer, but thanks for asking. I've posted this question about 8 times so far, and you are the first to answer! :)

Can you plse share with us your Sport and Cine mode gain and expo values and not for the normal mode only ? Thks very much for the nice video :)
Will the sharpness adjustment remain flying without that RC?
Yes i would like too to understand if sharpness and noise settings are kept wile flying the drone standalone
Me too
Me too
Apparently not. They revert to default.
@@SimoWill75 Really? In other dji drones, these settings are normally stored in the drone.

Any other updates on other controllers that will work with it?
Once we change settings using the controller, they remain adjusted when we change to use with cell phone or using just the Neo?
Unfortunately not
Thanks for the Video. I just bought Neo, 5 days back. I cant see the safety settings like return to home in the app. How can i find it
There’s no RTH option in the app, you would need the rc controller for that

I don't even have settings to adjust my neo camera sharpness when connected to the RC. I've uninstalled and reinstalled app. Any idea how to fix this?
Mee too, Anyone please give a idea to fix that
great job
How do you decide what to set the shutter speed to? You say it improves quality to control this manually but any tips on what to set it at? Thanks.

Помогите сколько ставить резкость и сколько ставить шумоподавление???
if you set sharpness on the remote to -2 and later you fly neo by it self (no controller) does the sharpness stay -2 or resets?
Sharpness will reset
I dindt calibrate, do i need to do that?
US/ Dji Google 2V fits Dji Neo?

Thanks for sharing your settings.
How do you call it bk when using the drone in front of you
It hovers and you reach iut underneath. Whenever u stand still for 3 or more sec it will go into hover mode
Lots to consider snd change then .. easy 😅

I'm waiting for a low wind dry day to send it out on range via fcc patch dji rc2

they can literally add all the settings from the RC onto the phone app.... but choose not to, because they want to sell you a RC lol
Or, as it is always with software development, they wanted to add it, but the programmers had not enough time. I think that's also the reason why it was delayed in the first place. As it was suppose to launch at the 28. of August.
This is not a problem for those that are actually drone users so for beginners it’s an investment that’s required
I got my control today and was suprised I can change sharpness and manual camera controls
nice!
Not seeing the need for 4K in a $200 drone where the hardware struggles to support it. Lower and improve the resolution.
@11:58 change sharpness to -2
👍👍
4k is not great
I heard the saturation on camera is bad. Can this be fixed when edited or ? I want it for vlogging.
I’ve just used mine
Unsharpened in post and colour graded and got it looking great not perfect but very good
there is DJI Goggles V2 and the FPV Controller in your Video……….in function with the neo?

Not really feeling this drone. Was going to buy one but seems too borked without a controller. With Fly more pack the cost is silly
How is it compared to Mini 4K? In terms of image and video quality?
mini 4k is a lot better
