Thanks for doing these types of videos. Helps to know how much things are going for.
So glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Face it Sandra, you just love jewelry 😮 Greatly appreciate your videos!
😊 thank you
At 15:00, that Hobe" green shell necklace? That's actually a polished down, internal green Turban conch shell. It's on the smaller size, I do collect them intact. I never thought of polishing up the broken ones, mounting them in silver, very cool!
Very cool indeed, thanks for that info. I love that piece!!! Hugs, Sandra
Just came across your videos as I have been collecting and learning about vintage jewelry… I have got so much of it and want to sell some but don’t know how to price it, etc. your videos are great and I thought I was one of few that had the love of this kind of jewelry 0:20 !!
Wonderful! Reselling is so much fun! Hugs!

Hi Sandra, I can not see any items in your eBay store! I wonder if it’s something wrong from my side!
Hi! We have our store on vacation until next week. Thanks for your interest. Cheers
24:23 what does *reserved* mean?
It’s cos someone wants to buy it but they needed to “hold” it for them for some reason. Thanks!
Why did you sell the Van Dell Sterling Brooch so cheap? I would never sell that for less than $20.00 ! We sellers need to stick together and not sell Sterling Jewelry so cheap!! Its not you Sandra its all across Ebay . Spot Sterling has actually gone up in price so our jewelry should too.
Hi, thanks for watching. My opinion on this is that everyone is entitled to sell anything they want for any amount they want. It’s true that mileage may vary from seller to seller, but my little eBay store is not moving the entire sterling silver market. I do agree that the price was extra low on the Van Dell. Although I can’t recall, I’m sure there was a reason for it (i.e. offer to a prized customer or discounting it cos it’s been in my eBay store for a year or more, etc.). The other thing to keep in mind is that it’s a tough market right now for sure and that is partially because there are way more sellers than buyers. Additionally, sometimes I get something for a very low price and am happy to pass on the bargains. Anyhow, thank you for your thoughtful and respectful input. And… best of luck to you!!!!
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter Hi I was not intending to be disrespectful and I apologize if I came off that way. Its just that I have a lot of Van Dell to list and I cannot afford to list that low so I will usually hold off on listing it. I watch your videos and try to get an idea on pricing my items by seeing how you price yours. I think you are always right on the money with that one exception but then again you had your reasons. I just get so frustrated when I practically have to give away an item just to make a sale. And you are right your one store is not bringing the sterling market down but if you look around ebay I think you might be shocked at the low low prices sterling is selling for. I am seeing sterling cuff bracelets selling for only $4.00, thats cheaper than postage!! Sellers have the right to price how they want of course but it seems like a race to the bottom to me. If I had the money to invest I think this would be a great time to buy on ebay and hold the items until the prices go back up.
So, I took absolutely no offense to your comments. And I agree with everything you are saying here. I too see sterling silver (and turquoise!) rings selling for $10 and less. It's a buyers market to be sure! And the costume jewelry I see on some low-end sites is adorable! And some nice pieces are selling for 79... CENTS! So I hear and understand your frustration. I have so much jewelry that I paid a dollar or less for, so I'm okay selling those on the lower end. I price my items by looking up comps and try to come on the low end if I didn't pay much -- and the high end if I paid a bunch. Hope this is helpful. Keep on keeping on! Hugs, SANDRA
@@user-zg5sr2zh7jI love Sandra's videos. I just bought a sterling Australian brooch for only a $135. I felt really bad for seller I guess until recently they were going for over double. It's hard I sell for a couple months a year and if even I get something nice for a buck or two I am lucky to get like ten! Have sadly sold many nice pairs of sterling earrings for like $2 or $3 because they weren't moving.
