    I just came across this video which o love all of them. Since 2000 I've traveled to Panama twice a year for business/personal. The molas I'm familiar with. The Kuna Indians sew the molas and I have some large exquisite ones. The ones you have were probably from The Vulcan (volcano in Anton) at Sunday Market. They are sold so cheaply its ridiculous. 1 or 2 dollars for the small ones. Its fun to watch them sew the molas...layering different colors of fabric. You made out really really good.

    Great video! I love how thorough you are with where you got things and how long they took to sell.
    One note and a caution - the mermaid ornament definitely is not a Radko. Radko Italians typically still have a cap. Rarely did they use the curled over glass for the hook, and this is not one of those times. I know google lens ID'd it as Radko, but it was likely from a listing which also mis-identified it. If the seller did not include the name and item number, it is because they are just guessing it is a Radko, but have no real idea. An item number could then be double checked in Radko back catalogs, which are nearly all posted on Radko's website.
    The caution about misidentifying Radkos - Radko collectors are a competitive bunch. They will bid first, ask questions later, in their rush to beat the competition. But once they receive the ornament, they often have much sharper eyes for the questionable details, and will seek a return/refund if they realize the ornament is not a Radko. Especially since this is a Made in China ornament....

Question, I noticed that many of the sales in this video started at one price and then showed a 35% markdown. Is that your general strategy, i.e., start high and then mark it down after a period of time? Do you have a pre-determined period of time to mark it down, or does it depend on the item? Thank you.

      For expensive breakables I use instapak. I don't double box and rarely have broken items. I use a TON of bubble wrap small first then large and put packing paper bunched all around with no issues

      It is way more complicated than that. I have a payroll company and pay my portion of social security and federal income tax on their wages. It will vary by state but in most you can't just pay them as a 1099 contractor. I pay $2 per listing and mine are all family and friends I tried hiring outside of that and it didn't go well.

Please, please, show us the safe way to ship. Thank you for all your videos.

    I have a couple of questions for you, Kat. I noticed on your listings that it says "Returns accepted, Buyer pays shipping." My question is do you get very many returns? My other question is on your price, I see the the price that has a line drawn through it as if it has been marked down. How do you get that on there? I too am a nurse flipper, although not nearly to the scale that you are. I enjoy your videos so much!

    I am curious with all the online Hi-Bid pieces you sold, were those all shipped to you? And do you just figure you'll charge about the same in shipping when you sell it? Or how do you account for that shipping cost? I ask because I've heard you say before that HiBid vendors can often gouge you on the shipping. I bought my first item on HiBid recently and they charged me $21 for a box of thimbles. They did pack them really well but that seemed awfully high, and the item was only $20 so that doubled my cost. Thanks so much for sharing!

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is about half and half between shipped and local pickup and I calculate the shipping cost into the cost of the item.

    What is your pricing strategy? Do you try to start the auction at the value you believe the item is? Do you have a buy it now price? Do you allow offers? Do you do 7 day auctions or longer auctions on some items?

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't do auctions except very rarely, less than 2% of my items are auctions. I do buy it now with offers on for most of my listings. Unless rare and in demand I won't auction and if I do I start at the lowest I'm willing to take and how many ever days for it to end on a fri sat or sun
