    I like how you are a consistent uploader and reveal tricks. When I was younger I used to be baffled by tricks but it's so satisfying to see how it's done, in a timely manner. I also like how you say that it's just a possibility (or give multiple ones) and that you don't drag out the explanation to make it a certain length to get more money.

    I really like easy to do tricks like this. It lets you focus on your presentation, which in my opinion always is the most important part. Also a quick note on the "problem" of the top 2 cards having the same suit or value. I just see if the 3rd card is any better, then take out the second card (at this point no one knows what you are doing anyway), then say "nah, that's not it" and put it anywhere in the deck.

    Wow. That was actually amazing. Thank you.
    Also the "downside" can be solved if you pair values differently. For example instead of pairing like SUIT3 = SUIT1, VALUE3=VALUE2. You can do Suit3=Suit1+Suit2, Value3 = Value1 + Value2.

  • @Bloodgaze
    @Bloodgaze 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I actually like about videos like these, especially ones I have seen from you, is that you only really show half the trick. What I mean by that is so many people online will bitch and cry "you revealed the trick, you ruined magic, wahhhh" but what I like about it is that it makes it easy to learn something really easy, but we have to do the rest if we want to do the trick. A trick is as good as you make it. Ever see cup and balls? Pretty sure I learned that one when I was 6, though I've seen Penn and Teller do it too and amaze millions. The trick is only half of it because you have so much personal opportunity to dress it up to the point that two people could do this trick you just showed, but have it look very different. I have learned a few tricks but changed something or gave a different story. "I had a dream last night about these cards and you picked a card. I am going to take that card out of the deck and lets see what happens" is very different than just straight "is this your card".You didn't ruin anything. You inspired. Teach a man to fish. You taught how to fish, we just need to provide the hook.

    Just an observation. If the card you take out in the beginning is a prediction, why do you need to snap your fingers or flick the card? It’s not changing from one card to another, it’s always been there, so nothing “magical” is happening. Would it not be better to put it in the card case and build the tension when you take it out with it’s back to the spectator and just simply turn it around to show the prediction?

      The more information you give people, and the more chances for them to watch for the magic to happen, the easier it is to lose them. Provided they’re busy watching for a swap or trying to figure out where you double lifted (ignoring why that would even matter) the less their mind goes to the more obvious answer of your shuffle

    Honestly you can get rid of that top card problem if you just use it to flip the spread over, using that top card as the “surfing” card for the spread flip. I don’t know what it’s called but I love the way it looks. You can just look at the second and third cards instead, use the top card to spread flip, then placing it on the bottom of the deck, grab your prediction, and good to go 😎 no need to do an extra shuffle or anything

    This is a very nice trick but i like the version in which you tell the spectator that you have dreamt of a card and they are going to find it, so you take the card out and manipulate them into making two piles with the desired cards on top of each; doing this you will have touched the deck only once to take out your card.

    • @andrewscarr8943
      @andrewscarr8943 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, but I prefer to choose 2 matching cards. If 3C and 5H are the cards on top, I would pick out 5C and 3H. You then don't need to touch the cards again, except for the reveal, where your two cards 'match' there two cards as you turn them simultaneously.

    Great tutorial, even though I think it could use a little mix up, for a spectator the "combining cards" part could look pretty fishy because the magician has obviously a lot of room to play when it comes to the prediction it self and the reveal becomes because of that a little less exciting. I think another option would be to predict the "twins" (i.e. The Jack of Clubs as prediction and the Jack of spades as forced card, same with the second forced card).

  • @Qermaq
    @Qermaq 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The move to the top of the deck is the only hard part. You can make this more self-working if you take the piles and deal them down, counting them up in total, then ask “And how many cards did you discard? So that leaves xx in the rest of the deck plus the cards you discarded as all the cards that can’t be here.” Etc. Now the cards are on top and with the patter as misdirection (counting up the cards etc. ) few will ever notice what happened.
