- Alright guys, so today I'm showing a really classic effect called Order From Chaos. This is great for magicians of all levels, so be sure to at least give this one a try, and thanks for watching.

How Its Supposed To Be Done - Marques Kincaid
1st shuffle: Top to bottom 2 off 3 off 4 off
2nd shuffle: Top to table 3-2-3-2-3
3rd shuffle: every other card starting on the 2nd card
4th Shuffle: Australian shuffle: 1st card on table next card on bottom repeat

It's called the "Australian" shuffle because you go "down, under". That's the easiest way to remember it :)

I really like this effect. Brooks' "Order From Chaos" was first shown to me by Joshua Jay's demo in his book that supplied a video. I put the effect on the back burner because I wasn't ready. I got it now. It's a wonderful effect and one that I will be performing in my shows. Thanks for sharing this, H23Bears.
I figured out my mistake which probably many people were having: DURING THE FIRST PHASE, MAKE SURE WHEN YOU PUSH OFF THE TOP CARD IT GOES ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PILE OF 2, 3, and 4 CARDS. Hope it helps.
This is such a good trick I done it right the first time with the video and was able to memorise it for the second time. Took me a few tries to memorise the pattern, but I and mainly a self taught magician so could do it a lot easier than some others who are new. To all newcomers of magic keep trying and good luck.
Great effect if you follow the steps very closely!! It is a self working card trick, so everyone should get it right if they follow the steps correctly and exactly. Keep practicing everyone, you got this

if you would like to have the Ace first try this starting order before shuffling. 6 7 Jack 10 5 4 Ace 9 King 8 Queen 3 2. then pull from backwards. 2 3 Queen 8 King 9 Ace 4 5 10 Jack 7 6. finally follow the steps in the video to order it out.

A perfect routine if you want a meta moment on your presentation. All is to speak about something strange to people and Shazam you'he done it (and if you use a marked deck the effect could be bigger it's up too you)

I think I will play around with this using just the first two shuffled which are hard enough to confuse the spectators. I will just need to begin with a different mix at the beginning.

I asked my friend his practesing magic for 6 months and he said this isn't even a trick. this is how magicians and poker players organize cards.

***** Cards from Vegas are stiff so you cant do the false cuts or false shuffles or breaks in them because they are ment to be used for poker

Ben Greenstein Just try to riffle it so that all spades are spread out throughout the deck, it's natural that they are all a bit close so it's just best to riffle it a bit poorly that all cards aren't intertwined so perfectly.

the reason you can't get it to work is probably because your cards were inverted, meaning your order was Q,J,2,6,A,5,K,10,9,4,3,7,8,
Hail_Fusion Nikolas Noonan Or you might be doing the beginning part wrong, you have to count them by taking them off one at a time, not just taking 3 and moving them to the bottom like silly ol' me did :P. Also, you might be outjogging first, but you have to injog first. Hope this helps :)

+Drache832, Slow down. (1)Follow the set up by first putting the cards in the pre-arranged order. [left to right, one card on top of the other]: 8, 7, 3, 4, 9, 10, K, 5, A, 6, 2, J and Q. (use one of whichever suit that you like: [Spades, Hearts, Diamonds or Clubs), to do the trick. (Lets say that you are using the SPADES). Then place them on the bottom of the deck in that pre-arranged order. (2) Next RIFFLE SHUFFLE the cards ONCE face down. Then turn the deck face up. Run through the face up deck and remove the SPADES, placing them onto the table face up, one atop of the other. Place the remainder of the deck to one side. Once you get this far. Just follow the various shuffles and mixes as described in the tutorial. I hope that this helps all that are having trouble with the effect. It is well worth the effort to learn.

Yeah bc it takes him 20 minutes just to pull out the cards he needs, and trying to tell you what you tell the ppl at the same time he is trying to tell you how you do the trick. Fuck I wouldn't get that shit right all year if I listened to this explanation all day everyday for a year

Dan Iacovache The first rule of magic is to never perform the same trick twice. If you don't like refusing to do it again, do what Cedric said. If you do the same trick twice, even if the trick doesn't use a forced card or stack like this one, they will often times catch on to the trick's concept or sleights. This is why you never do the same trick twice. Hope this helped :)
DeckOfLies actually, my problem was that I used this trick as rubik's cards, and i was supposed to be so smart to be able to do it from any position.
Three times already and it always goes badly, my concentration is so bad ...
